Babylon Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 I've seen Lloyd Dyer on several occasions on televised matches.Always looks a threat in the games i've seen him. I've only seen Max Gradel once or twice, but seen many a highlight of him. Enough to convince me that he will be a success at the level. Nicky Adams, I must admit I don't know too much about, but from reports on here, seems like a player with a lot of potential. On the other hand, I watched David Bell play on several occasions last season. Looked like a player with decent feet, but lacked the pace or crossing ability to be a threatening winger. Like i said, he is a decent player, and no doubt now, will go and be a success elsewhere. But to me, from having watched 4 out of 5 players in question, have no qualms in not having David Bell here next season. Fair enough, as long as you remember Bell was playing for us two divisions above Dyer/Adams and one above Gradel... oh and that josh low was in team of the year the season we bought him from Dyer/Adams division.

Yes indeed very true. I guess we just have to pray Lloyd Dyer isnt Josh Low's long lost brother.

Daggers Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 Yes indeed very true. I guess we just have to pray Lloyd Dyer isnt Josh Low's long lost brother. Didn't look like it at Hinckley. Low was always shockingly bad but Dyer has some spunk about him and more than a smattering of ability too.

Spunk and Smattering in the same sentence is crying out to be played with, but I am going resist a bit of spunk on this occasion and chip in with my thoughts on Dyer. He certainly has some pace about him, my worry would be the end product with him. Oh and good luck to Mr Bell also.
Father Ted Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 Low was always shockingly bad Low was crap ever since his cock up against Villa, the 2/3 games before that he was decent. After that - Rubbish!
Daggers Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 Low was crap ever since his cock up against Villa, the 2/3 games before that he was decent. After that - Rubbish! No pace, no control, couldn't head the ball and rarely put in a cross of any description. Fair enough, half the balls he was sent by Hume were miles away from him and unobtainable...but still, the boy couldn't play and I don't remember him having a good game. There again I have spent the bulk of the last two seasons very drunk in an attempt to block out the pain.

He came on as a sub against someone, when the whole team were terrible, and because everyone else played so badly it made him look alright. Wasn't that he played ok. So yes you are right he didn't have a decent game.
