morris1234 Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 i hope not this lad looks quite good! http://www.bedfordtoday.co.uk/luton-sport/...oxed.4060824.jp
SemperEadem Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 I hope we can keep him. I have been very impressed by him.
MikeyT Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 I think he's looked ok since we bought him here. Hopefuly we can get him on a permanent deal!
Father Ted Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 We have to sign him up! He would be quality in LEAGUE 1 with decent players around him.
barmy76uk Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 We have to sign him up! He would be quality in LEAGUE 1 with decent players around him. Hope we dont sign him as we have better players (proper wingers) Gradel and Porter who will be far more effective than some ex Rushden player! Thanks but no thanks hes far too predictable and his crosses are very poor!
Cheese Me Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 "It's not black and white with Leicester." Isn't that true. Hope we get him, was impressed from what I saw and think he'll be a player to have in the squad.
Vennegoor10 Posted 9 May 2008 Posted 9 May 2008 Hope we dont sign him as we have better players (proper wingers) Gradel and Porter who will be far more effective than some ex Rushden player! 1. Bell is a 'proper winger'. Its his position 2. Porter won't play again for a very long time if at all, since his injury he has struggled to motivate himself, his friends are a bad crowd, goes drinking too often etc. 3) It 100% does not matter who people have played for in the past, the likes of Walsh, Guppy and Elliot etc played for Oxford, Port Vale, cambridge and the like. Michael Kightly (driving force of the current Wolves team) was bought straight from Grays Athletic too.
ronnup Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 Not! enthusiastic but can't remember him actually creating many chances.
The Reverend Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 Not arsed either way. We have Gradel who has done very well in a relegated team.
act smiley Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 Yes, but who will play on the OTHER wing if not Bell?
Jonezy Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 Yes, but who will play on the OTHER wing if not Bell? Beswick, Hayes or Porter..... But we will probably have some striker out there if Ollie is still in charge...
SamL Posted 10 May 2008 Posted 10 May 2008 We have to sign him up! He would be quality in LEAGUE 1 with decent players around him. He's on a pre-contract deal I think, a bit like Worley. Bell and Gradel on the wings next season for me. That would be quality. I was very impressed with Bell when he came. If he can improve his final delivery, he'd be a great asset.

Bell has to be signed, showed a bit of quality and with some half decent players in front of him will scare the shite out of some teams we have to play!
ousefox Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 Has played well for us and actually looked like he was trying...
The People's Hero Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 I don't know why everyone thinks he'll tear up league one. He's played in league one before and not torn it up! I'm the man.
DB11 Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 He's on a pre-contract deal I think, a bit like Worley. But the pre-contract clause was only initiated if Leicester stayed up (which we didn't)
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 2. Porter won't play again for a very long time if at all, since his injury he has struggled to motivate himself, his friends are a bad crowd, goes drinking too often etc. source for this? As for Bell, I have been impressed & hope he signs. He was good in the Championship so I don't see why he wouldn't do a job in League 1 & even if we do have Gradel & Porter, he gives us cover and another option. You can't have a squad with just 2 wingers. If 1 gets injured, we don't want Hume having to fill in or something like that again. Besides, competition amongst the lads can only be a good thing.
Father Ted Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 Beswick, Hayes or Porter..... But we will probably have some striker out there if Ollie is still in charge... Probably Hume, oh, I forgot that Holloway wants to get rid of him Probably Barry Hayles

Well, if you remember at Chelsea he suffered damage to his Knee Ligaments. And people have seen him on the town drinking.
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 Well, if you remember at Chelsea he suffered damage to his Knee Ligaments. And people have seen him on the town drinking. He was back running around nearly a month ago though, meaning he should be fit to start next season. As for the drinking, half the players seem to get spotted down at Life every other week so I don't think he's the only 1. That's not to say that it's acceptable though.
Corky Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 Sod Bell, It's all about Hayes and Gradel. I'd forgotten about him
whitlock Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 I'd forgotten about him word on the street is from my Cobblers friends are that he's worst player at their club... bench warmer
