iancognito Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 I spotted on SSN yesterday that we're in the League One tab now. This is it now. All news about our club moves to the small columns 8 pages in to the sports section of the papers, just below squash, hockey and bowls and on the few occasions we do get a mention in match reports they use the old 'running fox' badge from the late 80s. By the time we get back to the top flight, it won't be 'We're Back!" it'll be "Remember Us?"
Flynny Posted 28 May 2008 Posted 28 May 2008 Still under Championship on the BBC. That really will be the last nail. I still don't think I've quite accepted it. I caught myself thinking "it'll be tough having Reading in our league next sea- shit" the other day.

I caught myself thinking "it'll be tough having Reading in our league next sea- shit" the other day. Same... I keep thinking about all the teams coming down from the Premiership and teams going up from League One... its a shame that we'll not be playing any of them in the league for at least a year... Chin up though, we might win some games now!
Tilley Posted 28 May 2008 Posted 28 May 2008 Good! I'm sick of still being in the Championship, We are League One now!

Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 May 2008 Posted 29 May 2008 No no no. It'll really sink in when Football Manager 2009 comes out
AmericanScott Posted 29 May 2008 Posted 29 May 2008 No no no.It'll really sink in when Football Manager 2009 comes out and Fifa 09 Good thing about this though is Sunday mornings, the Championship highlights go first Gives you more of a lay in before you watch those highlights of a 0-0 draw of Stockport away
smokey Posted 29 May 2008 Posted 29 May 2008 and Fifa 09Good thing about this though is Sunday mornings, the Championship highlights go first Gives you more of a lay in before you watch those highlights of a 0-0 draw of Stockport away Your hoping aint you! 0-0 away at stockport is a great result, was impressed with them in play off win
LCFCUSA Posted 30 May 2008 Posted 30 May 2008 My heart sank when I saw that on the Sky page, a real downer. This should signal a fresh start, as depressing as it is. It's the end of an era, but as long as we don't show up on the league 2 ticker next year I can live with it.
Asha Posted 30 May 2008 Posted 30 May 2008 Regarding the Championship goals, being in League One means even if the games 20-19 they'll only show the 3 best goals and a showing of a red card but not the actual tackle.

Asha Posted 30 May 2008 Posted 30 May 2008 And we all know you like seeing the tackle. Nah, still talking about the men's game. Although, the ladies team will probably get more coverage now.
mega2kn1 Posted 30 May 2008 Posted 30 May 2008 Put it this way people. Leicester have never been here before and this is only the first time Walsall have always been in and out of this shit league for as long as i can remember They are a poor team not us, We have got it good compared to them LCFC til I die
