Daggers Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Places in the AoWW-chariot will be going to the highest bidders. Going to Hartlepool via Birmingham?! [inset map-reading skills comment here] [insert slap here] [insert apology here]
C-man Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 I'm delighted with the fixture list. Because I'm at Reading and on holiday from the 20th August till the 7th September, I was well worried I'd miss Peterborough, Northampton or Leeds but I'll only miss Tranmere, Cheltenham and Colchester I'm determined to make Brighton away which would be a 460-mile round trip for me! EDIT: Oh and Leeds away on Boxing day
Wils Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 But I need you to chaperone me on the train. There's no way I'm gonna be safe to accompany myself that day. As i said, forget the wedding.

AoWW Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Going to Hartlepool via Birmingham?![inset map-reading skills comment here] [insert slap here] [insert apology here] Pay me enough pennies and I'll go via Brum. As i said, forget the wedding. Now hang on, let's not be hasty. I'm seeing a plan... can't you just skip all the religious afternooney stuff? We could then turn up for the evening bash - free food, lots of drink on tap, entertainment, etc, etc. I am invited, right? I'll pretend to a long-lost cousin or something if it helps.
lildave3 Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Can't wait for the Stockport game! It's so fab. Here's one for you, watch your sig and listen to 'It's the end of the world as we know it' by REM. It works.
Leicester Rule! Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Any chance our opener could be on Sky? Or dont Sky do League 1 games taht often

Katy Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Yeah ok Sky Sports News, I don't care who Stoke have on the first game of the season or on Boxing Day now. Gutted, am going to miss this one as will be in Oxford for Fosse City's pre season friendly Ah it's hit me good and proper now, we're in bloody League 1
Master Fox Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Here's one for you, watch your sig and listen to 'It's the end of the world as we know it' by REM.It works. I think it works to any music.
SamL Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 MK Dons at home, well it won't be easy but it's a good chance to get off to a flier and get a good solid 3 points on the board. Would've preferred an away match but Stockport away the week after is pretty decent.

MK Dons will be a tough start, Then hopefully beat Stockport twice in a week, Suprised no one has priced up the train for Stockport yet
Glenfield Fox Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Mk Dons at home it is then. I reckon someone's been brown enveloped on the fixtures panel. Whoever the new manager is MM will be thinking of sacking him by the the opening game. This gives him an opportunity for touching up Ince in the hospitality suite.

He'd be better off over in L1 where the 'real' men are going next season. Like me.

Also, we haven't won our first game of the season for about 6-7 years. No manager had won their first game in charge until Holloway did and look what happened there. We'll probably lose as you said but for once I'd like to see us start our season with a flier.

Speak for yourself - I was perfectly satisfied after mine.
Joe. Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Looking at our last ten games or so we've got a tough run in should we be needing points for whatever.
Floating Fox Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Andy has. Made me laugh, good old boy. Always rely on me £17.50. Kids fair that is
