Simon Grayson

If I was Ince I'd be waiting for a better offer than LCFC.

He's just one of the names who are totally unrealistic for us - and being linked to the Blackburn vacancy underlines that.

SSN had an interveiw with Paul Grayson (essex cricket coach ) and Simons brother , Paul said that many Leicester fans had asked him today weather "larry" is coming here. He said that Simon left for a holiday in the states yesterday but belived he was very settled at Blackpool but then said never say never .

Davies has all but turned it down. Grayson would be mad. I am sure we will end up with a real toss bag (Gregory.)

Lets face it the position is perceived as the worst position in football. I agree that Milan had bad luck with Megson, and there are arguments that Milan has tried harder than people think to get stability, but perception is everything.

All we can hope for is a shit sandwich at this point.

i dont think this is true as grayson is in florida! i went on to the blackpool os and saw they signed that marlon brromes and wondered why grayson wasnt in the picture but it says hes in florida!

This doesn't mean we can't approach Blackpool, looks like he is indeed on Holiday but I can't see that standing in the way of anything, although it may slow down the process a little.

I'd beg to differ. It is still a prestigous job to hold and there is no doubt Grayson will have some kind of emotional attachment to Leicester.

No more then what we deserve!! If you look at leeds, who were\are in the same league and are one of the bigger clubs in the league, the best they could muster was McCallister, a guy who was in the managerial scrap heap, we will probably get someone similar!!

The Blackpool chairman said if a club (he did say Arsenal, but never in Larry's lifetime) comes in for Larry, then he won't stand in his way. That to me says his time at Bloomfield Rd is up. I think they'd rather have a bit of compo off us than get rid and pay off Larry.

Larry it is then.

Shut that door.

Hold on to your hats guys thats some BREAKING NEWS Sammy has there

As I've said in the past I believe Grayson is the ideal candidate, especially with his experience in this division.

Just been on North West news Grayson will be in talks about the vacant post at Lcfc

Blackpool fans "why would he want to drop a division???" etc etc.....

For those Blackpool fans to have the nerve to question why Grayson should 'drop a division' amazes me.

You Blackpool fans only have half a ground!

It's not about the division, it's about the club, and for you to come out with that when you only have half a ground, takes the monkeys.

Go back to your two stands, freeze and shut up.

We have to do everything to get Grayson! Grayson is the solution to our problems, John Gregory definitely isn't

If not Grayson then Cotterill.

I am slowly coming round to Grayson being the gaffer....

But i cant help but think what if he comes and "fails"

Can you blame any of us for thinking this way, we are sick of it!!!

All the hype, then we get excited and then bang the bubble burst's!!!

He will not 'fail'. I said from the moment Holloway was appointed that he would be a faliure but nobody would listen I would just get told to shut up and 'get behind the manager'.

Believe me "Father" :giggle: when i say the word "Fail" it really hurts me...

But it is like a habit at this club now.....

I will always get behind the manager 100%, because i always manage to see the best for the club somehow!!! :frusty:

Ok, I understand I have to be realistic considering our position but the thought of Grayson as manager is completely uninspiring to me.

He wasn't that significant as a player really, and from what I've seen and heard he's bland as a manager too.

As I read on one of the other boards, would we even be looking at him if he hadn't have played for us? I don't think so.

I always liked Grayson. He was a steady player who rarely made mistakes. In his playing days he was far better than anything we have in our squad now for that position.

However, I agree with the uninspiring part. The thought of him coming in does not excite me. Ince or Davies... yes, but not Grayson. Sorry.

Great player for us but great manager? Mmmmm....

Well probably yes. He's just got a team promoted and managed to stay in the chumpionship on what I understand to be a shoestring budget (alright we gifted blackpool maximum points from our games against em but nevermind that). Plus, yes, the fact that he's played for us does have some bearing, like it or not.

And realistically, he's probably one of the managers that we could get. It might seem uninspiring to you and many others but we aren't exactly a massively tempting offer to a lot of the managerial candidates out there. If, and I do mean if, Grayson feels he has taken Blackpool as far as they can go, then maybe dropping down a league to continue to build his reputation with a club that probably has more long possibility, may be a good move.
