Daggers Posted 6 July 2008 Author Posted 6 July 2008 David Marshall-LABOUR POLITICIAN. Remarkably few Lib-Dems in this thread.
Hullfox Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 Remarkably few Lib-Dems in this thread. Probably because there's remarkably few Lib Dems
Flynny Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 That and the main two parties spend most of their time digging up dirt on each other, and no-one much cares about the Lib-Dems.
Flynny Posted 11 July 2008 Posted 11 July 2008 Alright disregard anything I say about Politics before the next elections, I'm listening to David Cameron on TMS and I've just realised he's charmed me to fuck. I've never heard anyone sound so sensible so easily. Clearly I've lost my head with all this completely, my opinion is now void, my cynicism refuses to kick in.
Hullfox Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 Meanwhile shadow business secretary Alan Duncan is under pressure to explain a £160,000 donation from oil tycoon Ian Taylor. NOTW apology to Alan Duncan At least one of them isn't up to his elbows in shit.

l444ry Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 MP-only sale at John Lewis Partnership shops John Lewis Partnership department stores nationwide are throwing open their doors next Sunday in a special "Expenses Day" sale exclusively for MPs. Being held on a Sunday so as not to either disrupt either the weekday sleeping patterns of MPs or prevent them from claiming any due Westminster attendance allowances, the stores will be offering all manner of useless and over-priced tat to assist MPs with reaching their £23,000 'John Lewis List' limit as easily as possible. A spokesman for the store said: "We felt it our duty to assist MPs with easily spending tax payers' money as inefficiently as Tory MP Derek Conway, who recently paid his sons £40,000 to do nothing. Except in this case, it's a significantly lower sum they have to waste, and we are delighted to have been nominated as their official store. "We have even installed special e-bay sections in our Cheadle, Sloane Square, Brent Cross, Southsea, and Milton Keynes branches where we will advise MPs as to the most popular range of goods for immediate re-selling on the popular auction site, to enable them to quickly and efficiently convert their allowance into cash. "However, for those wishing to purchase goods for their own use, there is either the fast-track method where they can quickly utilise their allowance by purchasing completely over-priced and totally useless items, or we can appoint a special "Allowance Adviser" who will help them choose vastly over-expensive kitchens, hi-fi units, computer systems, carpet tiles or even canteens of cutlery." A Spokesman for the House of Commons, private secretary Con Stituents, said: "We are delighted that John Lewis have entered into the spirit of things by making it as easy as possible for MPs to waste public money. Up to now they have had to rely on outsourcing firms like EDS and Capita, as well as £1000-a-day consultants and even Sir John Borne of the National Audit Office to ensure a total misuse of tax-payers money, but this initiative puts wastage on an even footing for all. "I will be personally recommending the Honourable Members to buy Smeg appliances, Bose entertainment systems and 52" HD-ready televisions, to mention but a few brands, in order they are able to waste their expenses as efficiently as possible."

Dr The Singh Posted 23 July 2008 Posted 23 July 2008 Democracy at it's best: Congress Party of Inida, bribed other MP's for votes to pass a the much conteversial Nulcear bill!! Mnay more videos on Indian News Sites HUNDREDS OF NEWS SITES WORLDWIDE COVER THIS PATHETIC SHOW OF CORRUPTION IN THE WORLDS SO CALLED BIGGEST DEMOCRACY MORE LIKE A HYPOCRACY http://news.google.co.uk/news?q=india%20br...sa=N&tab=wn By Rahul Bedi in New Delhi Last Updated: 2:51PM BST 22 Jul 2008 The parliamentary debate on the motion descended into chaos after three opposition MPs from the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), rushed to the House floor and began waving large bundles of cash. They claimed the money had been paid to them in bribes by Mr Singh's Congress Party. Ashok Argal, a BJP parliamentarian, interrupted proceedings by producing bags stuffed with currency notes amounting to Rs 30 million (£357,500). He alleged the money had been given to him by Congress Party members to abstain from voting and help Mr Singh's government survive the confidence ballot. A lost motion would almost certainly ensure passage of a controversial civil nuclear energy deal with the US, which sparked the political crisis. Two other BJP members made similar allegations, which were apparently backed by claims made by the local CNN-IBN news channel, that it secretly filmed the bribe being paid. The station declined to air the footage but said it had handed the tapes to Somnath Chatterjee, the parliamentary speaker. The stormy scenes forced Mr Chatterjee to adjourn parliament to restore order ahead of the confidence ballot which was postponed until later in the evening. He also summoned Delhi's police chief to investigate the incident, which L K Advani, the opposition leader, described as 'corruption of the highest order'. "Over the last three or four days, there has been pressure on our MPs to take money to either abstain or vote for the government, and this has been done by the Congress and their supporters," said Rajnath Singh, the BJP chief, calling for Mr Singh's resignation. "This scandal has lowered the dignity of our parliament," he added, claiming to possess video evidence of money changing hands. The Congress Party summarily rejected the allegations. "There is no evidence to suggest that the Congress has given the money," said Rajiv Shukla, a ruling party spokesman. Other Congress MPs said the BJP had deliberately 'engineered' the incident as it did not have the requisite numbers to win the parliamentary ballot.
Daggers Posted 25 July 2008 Author Posted 25 July 2008 When was the last time a politician got this many Germans out in the streets? I wonder if his rhetoric stirs Craig Adams?
Daggers Posted 25 July 2008 Author Posted 25 July 2008 =================================================== =================================================== What kind of total knobhead locks his bike to a two-foot bollard? ...more importantly, is this the kind of man who should be entrusted with the security of the Nation when he can't look after a sodding bike?!

Won't happen but surely we're not far away from some kind of revolt or vote of no confidence or whatever it is that politicians do when someone shit is in charge.

Hullfox Posted 25 July 2008 Posted 25 July 2008 Just a minute Dags, Not long ago you were supporting the more weaker members of our society. Is the fact that it is a weak Tory without all of his faculties who is the victim making you change your opinion? I hope you retain your full faculties into old age but many don't and shifting the blame onto him rather than the cnut who robbed him I find an odd sense of priority.I don't care whether he got taken for a quid or a million, the simple fact is that this shit abused the trust of an old man. He took advantage of someone who is one of the weakest members of our society in the knowledge that if he ever gets caught he'll suffer a slap on the wrists at worst, and then be able to carry on doing it to others.
