Manwell Pablo Posted 10 June 2008 Posted 10 June 2008 looks like they've finally worked out I do nothing, my employment ends on the 13th Septmeber, or as soon as I get another job whatever comes first. Pay offs pretty standerd but Im going sort 3/4 time ish on full pay which I'm very happy about.

Hmm, Im thinking of branching out to be honest. or at least trying to tackle something that isn't completley IT orientated. Too many IT Grads out there at the minute.

Good luck mate, to be honest if i was made redundant tommorow, I would probably look to start my own business!!

Just looking at their proposels for the next three months and I think they've gone mad. Looks like I've worked my last Saturday (get in), the rest of this week is as usual. Then it's business as usual for 2 weeks after that (but I'm on holiday so it doesn't matter to me) after which they're proposing to open Monday 0900-1300 Tuesday 0900-1300 Thursday 0900-1300 Friday 0900-1300 ............It then says we will try and find alternate duties for you outside these times ( Like what? ) but you may have to take some time off, we will continue to pay you your full wage. You can see how this place has gone tits up. Part time job on full time wages for the whole of the summer until I find something else. Get in.

We are looking for someone with a diverse skillset that includes looking good in a maid's outfit. The ability to prepare a decent Beef Wellington will guarantee the job. Salary negotiable, but it will not be large as sexual gratification will be offered in lieu of real cash money.

Redundo can be devastating. When i started work back in 1990 there were 30+ in our dept. Now there are 9. When people had to be laid off with families and mortgages etc it was very depressing and heartbreaking. You've got age and qualifications on your side so im sure yo'll be okay. Good luck!

Fantastic, looks like a really nice place and it's the sort thing I want to do and the pay is nearly double what I was on, flexi time as well, bonus. Only problem is it's a 3 month contract and I'm not entirely convinced I'll be able to do it that well at first but very very happy. Tempted to go and blow my redundancy cheque on something big and shiney now.

Tabou Posted 19 September 2008 Posted 19 September 2008 I have a meeting in 10 mins with 3 Directors to decide whether I have a job anymore (which was already decided this morning I am told...) They are trying to blame my results as apposed to the fact the company has gone tits up! Actually very angry and depressed at the minuite. Will update you later for those interested parties! And for any business owners out there, Can I have a job?!
