The other night they got on their collective high horse the day after van Nistelrooy's goal against Italy, waffling on about how they'd got it right and the faceless UEFA bureaucrats didn't know their arses from their elbows. Just now they've seized on a not-to-be-missed opportunity to bang the rulebook to rights again over the Russian goal in the first half against Greece. Bleugh-di-bleugh-di-bleugh, the Russian is off the pitch, bleugh-di-bleugh-di-bleugh, the law's an ass, bleugh-di-bleugh-di-bleugh, well that should have been offside too, it's political correctness gone mad, soon they'll make our bananas straight and rename all our vegetables in line with EU regulations. YOU'RE ALL TWATS (especially you Townsend). The bloke had literally just passed the ball. When someone runs clear through on goal and passes it back for an on-running team-mate who was behind him when the ball was played, it's not offside. It's not rocket science. But no, The Oracle That Is Andy Townsend Has Spoken And Has Been Backed Up By "Expert" "Analyst" Jim Beglin. It's like all newspapers have been shut down apart from two published on alternate days, one of which is fairly decent and then on the other days you have to get all your news from the Daily Mail. Clowns, the lot of them. Absolute clowns. Wankers.

He doesn't annoy me in the same way as the other bellsniffs do. Worringly, he makes more sense than anyone else on ITV.

His shite gags that made no sense and his attempted "banter" with the other **** sitting next to him was a complete shambles. How ITV can justify them commentating football is beyond me. BBC is alot better, and Alan Shearer is ok but dislike him because of what he did to Lennon years ago and tbh I can't stand old Alan "I'm a plastic England fan" Hansen. TBH the 2 Leicester boys are ok I had to laugh that they have got Marcel Desailly outside on the pitch to give his views on the games instead of in the studio with MON - Could be coincidence but anyone remember O'Neill's out burst at Desailly a few year's ago? Football fans of a nervous disposition may want to look away now as a potential legal 'result' flashes up: Uefa 1 UK Government 0.For, if European governing body Uefa gets its way, this summer's Euro 2008 championship will be the last that British fans get to watch entirely on free-to-air TV. Uefa is challenging the British list of "crown jewel" sporting events - those deemed to be of such national importance that they are guaranteed to be shown on terrestrial television. The Swiss-based football body cannot see why all 31 games at the Euro 2008 championships - which includes the likes of Sweden v Greece and Czech Republic v Turkey - must be shown on free-to-air TV in the UK. Joe. Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 ITV coverage really is shambolic. Poor presenters, laughable guests and poor commentators generally. Andy Townsend? Robbie Earl? It's shambolic to say the least. Don't get me started on ****ing Pleat. I think we all share the same opinion on that clown. I still don't understand why the fools at ITV continue to employ that man, they must have got letters etc stating how bad he really is? And Clive Tyldesley is a bit of a plank too. Half the time he doesn't have a clue what he's on about. However- positives. Peter Drury and Jim Beglin are both decent commentators in my opinion, I don't mind listening to them at all. Also, it can't be just me who thinks Sky's commentators are overrated? Andy Gray blatantly has his favourite teams and it's bloody annoying to listen to at times. BBC are the best I think. I like the pundits, and apart from the comedy duo of Motson and Lawrenson the commentators are very good (Jonathan Pearce ). Go BBC.
