I actually think he might have been better off with us. May sounds silly, but FC Twente are at the highest point in their history, and their best player has just left for the bundesliga, along with the manager who brought them to where they are. The only way is down. We on the other hand are at our lowest ebb, and fingers crossed, the way for us in up. Good luck to him, a brave move. EDIT: I might add I never thought he woudl come here.

I don't suppose seeing him interveiwed and saying he would consider going to a lower league club and we were possibly the biggest lower league club that also happened to be looking for a manager would give anybody reason to think he may (not will) come here. Cheap to say after the event.

His name came up because Mandaric was rumored to be sounding him out about a position as Director of Football as post relegation he thought he may reconsider his own position. Pearson will at least install some discipline and man management into the team. It is my assessment that stevie lacks both of these qualities in spades. N.
