Unabomber Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 Good to see an English manager from the lower leagues given a chance.
Stevosevic Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 MK Dons. Should we rule them out as promotion contenders now?
Daggers Posted 22 June 2008 Author Posted 22 June 2008 Good move for football this.Wish him success. Exactly - the lad has done brilliantly with his career and well deserves the crack at the job. I hope they have a great season. The one thing I wonder though is how much he'll be spurred on by the knowledge that he could have managed at a bigger club than Blackburn but was denied permission to speak to us?
Matt Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 Good. I have no malice against Ince, I don't for one second have the chance anyway but not even I as a Leicester City fan would want the Leicester manager job, certainly with Milan Mandaric owning the club so I don't blame Ince for not wanting the job - Even if Blackburn were not interested it would and could have caused a nasty blip on Ince's CV. As for MK Dons i'm glad they have potentially been fuked up, Again if MK Dons received our approach and denied it straight away (Even if they took a couple of days to think about it) I wouldn't have minded but no a) They announce it to the whole world and b) They take the piss and take over a week to deny the approach. TBH I really didn't mind MK Dons before, I wouldn't go as far as saying I had a soft spot for them - far from it, but I didn't mind them, all this franchise/taking the piss I was never interested in, e.t.c, but now there just wankers IMO. I did start to believe but at the same time I never ever expected Ince to come here but the the MK Dons handled it in our situation is a disgrace.
Darkzzz_ Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 Yes, i wish Ince all the best! It is great to see this happen...As said above, a good move for football!
Koke Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 Folks, don't forget League 2 to the Premiership is a massive jump. - And he has to live up the high standard set by Mark Hughes. Good luck with that. I like Ince and I like Blackburn, but I would have thought they would have aimed much higher than Paul Ince.
Nick Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 Good to see a Black Englishman in premiership management. Too much disproportion for too long. Many fantastic black English players in the last few decades and none coming through as managers. Good luck to him. N.

I like Ince and I like Blackburn, but I would have thought they would have aimed much higher than Paul Ince. I don't mind Ince, but I feel this is too soon in his management career. He has a lot to live up to. Blackburn are a club you expect to finish top half every year, so whether Ince is up to the task remains to be seen. Good luck to him though, don't want to write him off just yet. There is every chance he will do very well.
Tilley Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 I hope he does well, But I think it's maybe too early for him. League 2 - Premiership is a huge difference.
Sparky Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 Good luck to him , good to see an englishman get a chance . If succesful he will have a cracking chance of leading Inter Milan and hopefully England
SamL Posted 22 June 2008 Posted 22 June 2008 I'm glad he's been given a chance, I just hope it's not too soon. Good luck to the bloke.
