Pliskova giving Serena a match here. Hope she can pull it off and take her out.

Edit: She does it! Amazing after being down 1-5 in the 3rd and coming back to win it.

I cannot believe what I've just witnessed.

The most crazy bizarre turnaround I've ever seen.

If anybody missed that get on the highlights whenever they air.

Had a feeling Nishikori would retire today lol

Surprised Pouille beat Raonic, seems Raonic may have done some choking, he was 4-1 up in the first when I went bed.

He looked fuked Nishikori, could barely walk up a flight of stairs.

Just don't know who i want to win this women's final... Naomi deserves the chance to enjoy celebrating winning a grandslam after what happened at the US Open... but then what Kvitova went through with the intruder, the stabbing, not thinking she would play again...

Yeah interesting to see if she holds it together second time of asking.

And she does.

Great mental toughness shown after choking the second set, showed no emotion, pure poker face.

Both players are extremely likeable but glad Naomi pulled it off, she needed it more, she just about deserved it more.

Just a different level to everyone else on the tour these days when he’s on top form I hate to say.

Nadal started too slow, seemed nervous. Djokovic hit the ground running.

Having said that, Djokovic at this tournament is like Rafa at Roland Garros. Unstoppable on those surfaces.

Looking at this, it would undoubtedly be much closer, but I’d fancy Djokovic to give Nadal a serious run on clay this year.

Hes he’s won plenty of times in Australia but this is probably one of the best matches I’ve seen him play there, unplayable this morning.

I might be wrong but I think Nadal still leads in Grand Slam head to heads.Or maybe it is level now?

Though these days, regardless of how good he has looked against over opposition, Nadal seems to be so intimidated when playing Djokovic and mentally falls apart. A real contrast to the run from 2008 - 2011 in which he always had an answer for Novak at the majors.

I take it you're not the biggest fan of Novak?

Tbh I’m not the biggest fan of either of this mornings protagonists.

Nadal has managed to create a legacy off one niche surface, and I find Nole’s Attitude towards the press and officials deplorable at times.

I don’t know but I don’t think Nadal has beaten Novak off a clay court for about four and half years now.

Do you mean winning grand slams in general or beating each other at any stage in a grand slam?

If it’s grand slams off the top of my head it about 15 18 in nadals favour. Might not be exact but nadal defo ahead on that. About 17 french opens mind you.

Nadal leads 9-6 against Djokovic in Grand Slam matches, including today's match.

In finals alone, it's 4-4.

In Grand Slams wins in all, Nadal leads 17-15 including today.
