well considering the commitment of the somebody's we have signed in recent years let hope these nobodys have a desire and a hunger that has been lacking here.

Lloyd Dyer....one of the top players in league two last year as was nicky adams. Not sure about the cambridge lad although is experienced for his age.]

And yes we are now League one mate. Get over it.

Quit bloody moaning!!

They sound alright to me, and tbh we are in Leage 1 so dont be expecting the likes of Ronaldo to be walking through the door. I for one think they sound like good decent signings. Solid, reliable experienced at this level! So Shhh!

Who the hell is this journeyman lower leagues defender Elliott from Oxford? This youngster nobody has heard of from Chelsea reserves, Izzet? This average Welsh midfielder from Crewe, Savage? And this Irish midfielder, Lennon?

Mug.

Martin O'Neill built a successful team around a bunch of virtually unknown players.

Ever since he left and the club went into administration, things turned ugly.

(More or less) 5 years of misery - time for a change.

Catch my drift?

That is hardly a fair comparison. Almost everybody had heard of the above mentioned before they came to City. And Martin spent a couple of million on that lot. I can't help thinking that many folk are wetting their pants a trifle early. All Pearson is doing is reducing the wage bill and clawing back money for Mandaric. These signings are distinctly worrying if they are being earmarked as regular first teamers.

That is actually quiet ridiculous. lol

I've had enough of us bringing in so-called big name players who are this and that. Quite frankly, they are nobodies.

What I want to see is players coming in who want to play for this club. Players who give two hoots about this club. Players who wear the shirt with pride and passionat this club. Players who want to improve themselves as professionals at this club. Players who will bring a winning mentality back to this club.

For the last four seasons we've had big name charlies come here and try to be just that. They all failed.

I see no reason why we shouldn't go out and get the best that there is, in the positions we require, from the best on offer in L1 and L2. Up and coming players. Young players. Hungry players. Players who want to win. Players used to winning.

On the evidence of today's transfer deals, I see no reason to suggest this not to be the case.

Fair play to NP. He's bringing in just what we need. I can't wait to see this lot play.

Let the gelling commence I say. :)

We are going in the right direction by signing up-and-coming players and rather than famous old timers with a lengthy goal-filled career.

We've been there, done that, bought them all, and have sold/selling them on ebay.

Christ alive!!! Let's sign some 'higher profile' signings who turn out to be woefully inept again then shall we??

eh im not maoning ..just trying to get some idea of who they are and what they are gonna bring to this club....i just dont want us to end up in the next division down surely you can see my concerns guys ?

we now have the best league 1 winger from last season gradel and the best league 2 winger llyold dyer. Micheal morrison is a highly rated defender touted by chelsea and newcastle and nicky adams had the most assists and goals from midfield in league 2. I'll take those signings over darren moore any day. We're going about it the best way by buying the best young players from league 1 and 2, may long it continue and hopefully we sign Nicky Maynard next.

But your concern seems to be: "I haven't heard of them so they must be shit". To which the general response is: "We'd all heard of the players we signed last summer and in January; look where that got us".

These new signings may perform as poorly as Howard, Oakley, Clemence and Campbell did for us last season, but there is more chance that they'll be putting 100% in because they are coming up rather than on the way down. It is patently obvious that very few players put in 100% effort last season.

There is another positive to all this. Even if Michael Morrison is no better than NGotty and Nicky Adams no better than Oakley, I'd imagine the new guys would be on about a tenth of the wages of those wasters.

The "somebody's" got us relegated. Simple as.

And how refreshing it is to read so many fans calling for younger players with something to prove to be given the chance to lead us forward into the future.

Start of the season last year I warned that we'd never score enough goals to do any good and so it proved.

I don't feel that way now. I'm quite sure there will be more signings to come but it's already clear that we'll have goals potential all over the place and, that being the case, I really cannot imagine the disastrous sort of season we had last year.

What encourages me is that while none of the signings are novices they will all know they have the opportunity of a lifetime at Leicester and will surely want to make the best of it.

And surely the competition they provide will bring the best out of young prospects already at the club.

If our so-obvious weaknesses really do get finally and properly patched then Pearson's big challenge will be to build the team spirit so vital to winning Championships or competing for a promotion place.

Forget star names. I'd rather have team spirit anytime and I know from my own experience that when young players start to sample success their enthusiasm drives them forward like an overdose of adrenalin and the collective belief they develop makes them capable of anything.

Let's truly hope that's how it proves.

You call them nobodys, but if they are nobodys then they have something to prove. Has beens only come here for a last payday as we seen from last season with players like Oakley and Clemence. Personally I would much rather have players that aren't really well known but are willing to put their bollocks on the line for this club rather than over paid usless twats like last seasons team.

I'm hopeful that if you have a nice spread of energetic younger players on the pitch that will rub off on and affect the game of the older more experienced players who all seem to be in some sort comfort zone last year - Leicester Siesta.

Jesus when will some people realise that we aren't a big club anymore.

We are in League 1. No it's not great, but it's life!

It's better all-round if people just stop the moaning and just support their fcuking football team!

As was Josh Low when we signed him

What we obviously need are a few 36year olds who used to be half decent championship players in their hey day..... if we pay them well over the odds I'm sure they wouldn't mind standing around loitering in the center circle for an hour or so..... or have we been doing that for about the last 5 years :rolleyes::rolleyes:
