LEICESTER at the top of it, badge in the middle section, THE WHOLE WORLD SMILES WITH YOU in the third. Cheers mate. Will put it to a vote towards the end of the week along with any other suggestions. What would people think of the second flag saying "FOXESTALK" at the top and "LEAGUE ONE TOUR 2008/09" on the bottom? Not such an issue about it only being for one year I reckon.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 9 July 2008 Author Posted 9 July 2008 Flag One -The club have measured up for me and we're going to make Flag One 20ft x 10ft. -This will take up 14 seats across and about 5 seats down so 70 seats in total and will remain in the Walkers all year (possibly will have to be removed or different arrangements made for a couple of the large travelling supports (i.e. Leeds, Northampton). -The design will be the one in my avatar. Flag Two -will be 12ft x 6ft -will be for away games. -Design still open to debate. -Almost certainly a reference to Foxestalk. Possibly a message like "League One tour" on it. -Will be good if we can get every contributor to sign it, like that idea a lot. Fund currently stands at around £360. The basic cost for Flag One is £110 plus lettering and logo. Flag Two £70 plus lettering. Probably won't bother with a logo on the smaller flag as they cost a fair bit. Please contribute ASAP now as I need to know how much we can afford for when we order it. Any questions or suggestions let me know.

That's fine to do but obviously I'm effectively subbing you all out of my own pocket (if you don't pay me until after the flag is bought, I mean), so I'm going to limit it to five people (Smuts has already taken one place) and I will only agree to it with people I know.

The smaller flag will cost £120 + £100 for the fire safety certificate = a grand total of £450. We're up to around £400 including JoeB, SUAS and Smuts to pay with cash. I reckon five more contributions and we will be there. I will double check the pricing with the flag people tomorrow. Open to ideas. I think the flag will tie in with the League One thing quite well so it's still a good memory if we are promoted. We could always add more printing to it. League One Tour was quite a popular choice when I first asked for ideas. I'm not getting an awful lot of ideas from people though. I want as many as possible.

Why does the league one tour flag need to be a one season thing - mean A.) aren't we being pursumptious that we will go up in one attempt - failure's only several Milan sackings away! And if we do go up - it's still an ironic flag - someone could just add 'WE'RE BACK!' by it maybe - who's mum's good at stiching?
