Okay we are on. Have met with Peter Jones and Chris Tinbergen (head of the ticket office) and it's full steam ahead.

Got to keep it brief cos I'm meant to be off out 5 minutes ago but just wanted to start up a thread to get some discussion going tonight.

Key points (subject to change and confirmation etc but these are the basics)

It will probably be displayed in the away end next to N Block. Only 3 or 4 teams will bring more than 2,000 fans so this is the best place to put it, in full view of the Kop and the dugout and can still can be viewed from L1 too.

Depending on cost and whether people put their money where their mouth is, it will probably be two flags, one above the other to display a full size flag. This means we can take one or both of them to away games without worrying about it being gigantic.

Will probably be two 20 ft x 10 ft flags. Not sure about the size exactly yet. They are going to measure up for me and get back to me early next week so we can plough ahead.

Will probably be "LEICESTER CITY FC", a fox logo and a phrase-type thing i.e. "When you're smiling", "the whole world smiles with you", something along those lines. Nothing too official club-y but it has to be related to LCFC and has to meet their approval. Suggestions welcome but I'm going to have the final say with ideas we present to the club.

Fire safety certificate costs £100 but the club are going to find out whether we can bypass this somehow to reduce the cost for us.

We will have to stump up all the cash. There will NOT be any reference to Foxestalk on the flag. Rules are strict as to what can be displayed inside the stadium due to advertising deals etc. Personally I am fine with this.

I will set up a Paypal account when I get a chance.

Just to come back on that quickly, the suggested donation is a tenner as per the original thread but if anyone can afford more then that's superb. If we raise more than it/they cost(s), I will note who made the supplementary donations and either refund the money, donate it to Mark's running costs or to charity.

Theoretically that's over £200 so far in the space of a few hours. This should be easily achievable.

Any ideas about it at all give me a shout. I think the Mercury would probably be interested in doing a little piece on it. Will give them a bell once it's delivered to check.
