lcfcrinaldi Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 I dont want to see him go as I think he would be great cover and should sooner or later be an asset. But we havent took him on our world tour of Slovenia, so maybe Pearson dosent think the same as me. Mandaric offerd him a contract before Pearson came but he rejected it as he wanted to see who was coming in, and Pearson leaving him out of the tour surely might have put the last nail in the coffin. Lincoln City, Bradford, Rochdale, Cheltenham, Darlington, Port Vale and Crewe are believed to have made enquires.

Stevosevic Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Found it...http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11750_3823078,00.html Skysports.com understands a host of clubs are chasing Leicester striker Louis Dodds. Dodds is considering his future at the Walkers Stadium after enjoying a loan spell at Lincoln last season. The former England youth international was offered a new deal by Foxes chairman Milan Mandaric before the appointment of Nigel Pearson as boss, but he turned it down so that he could train with the new manager before making a decision on his future. The 21-year-old's future has been cast into doubt after Pearson omitted him from the squad for the pre-season training camp in Slovenia. The news has alerted a number of clubs to Dodds' possible availability this summer. Lincoln City, Bradford, Rochdale, Cheltenham, Darlington, Port Vale and Crewe are believed to have made enquires for the talented striker and the interested suitors are hoping to strike a deal with Leicester rather than having to go down the route of a tribunal to decide a fee.
billyfox1 Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 Sounds as if he waited to see if he liked Pearson, but now Pearson doesn't want him
bigneville Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 Pearson's obviously had a look at him. Verdict = Not good enough.
The People's Hero Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 So many of our managers haven't fancied him. Good luck to the guy - but it's time for him to go.
TaskFox1 Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 Not one manager over the past two years has ever really thought about putting him in the team and with our other young strikers looking ready it's def time to let him go. Come on Ashley Chambers
billyfox1 Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 http://www.thisisgloucestershire.co.uk/foo...il/article.html No interest from cheltenham
Ashley Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 From what i've heard he's a good player, I would of liked to see him play for us this Season. If he goes he goes.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 The times I've seen him I thought he had a great touch and some real quality about him, but not enough pace and sharpness to make him a real danger to Championship defences, and even though we've dropped a division I'm still not convinced he'd be that great. He'll probably go and score 20 goals for someone else now I've said that
Thracian Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 Not one manager over the past two years has ever really thought about putting him in the team and with our other young strikers looking ready it's def time to let him go.Come on Ashley Chambers Not quite true. Rob Kelly took him to Norwich but instead of using him decided to "go with experience". Strange that because, judging by comments he reportedly made when he left Leicester, Kelly seemed to quite rate the lad and certainly went to some trouble wishing him the best for the future. It was Kelly, of course, who described him as "the most natural finisher at the club".

"The most natural finisher at the club" HAHAHAHA!!!
kingfox Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 Afraid to say with better players than him at the club there is no room for him. Gradel is better than him and we have Dyer now aswell. No room for Dodds.

smokey Posted 16 July 2008 Posted 16 July 2008 They're wingers Dodds isn't Where did he play most of last season for Lincoln?....... Left wing was it not??
Unknown Fox Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 Where did he play most of last season for Lincoln?....... Left wing was it not?? he did indeed but he is supposed to be a striker if Pearson hasn't took him on the tour he obviously doesn't highly rate him unlike kelly so looks like he probably on his way out but not really too fussed unless he does become the next big thing and we miss out
LCFC2007 Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 I think that we should try and keep Dodds as in this league I think that he will do well just like Max Gradel will.
Thracian Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 I think that we should try and keep Dodds as in this league I think that he will do well just like Max Gradel will. Not if he's a winger he won't. He'll never get in.
morris1234 Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 according to the port vale OS dodds has laready been down there to discuss terms and it pretty much suggests on other sites that were just waiting on a fee to be agreed (compensation) otherwise it goes to a tribunal!
