'The Big One'

Described as the 'Big One' by the Leicester Mercury City will face their toughest test so far in their Pre-Season preparations as they play Birmingham City at the Walkers.

I predict a 2-2 draw.

What are the odds that Bill Anderson uses the phrase 'partizan crowd' in his report tomorrow?

I think we'll lose 3-1 personally. I hope Gradel is given a chance to hurt them though, that Murphy won't know what's hit him.

Haven't really got a clue how it could go, depends on the defence really because if they aren't up to it they could score alot.

We've got Alex Tunchev in now so we'll be ok him and Hobbs at the back

Big one??? But for a couple of sloppily conceded late goals and some poor misses from our strikers last season this would be a regular league fixture this season.

Anyway, rant over, I'm predicting 2-2

Couldn't care to be honest on the actual outcome of the game.

A few things i'm looking forward to or getting out of the game are below.

  • A clean sheet would be great - highly unexpected but great.
  • A chance to see our possible starting midfield against Championship opposition to see how well they are working together, in preparation for MK Dons.
  • A pretty good chance of seeing who Pearson has in mind for his starting line up for the opening league game.
  • Another chance for our strikers to gain confidence, by scoring against higher level opposition
  • Confirmation that fitness levels are at the expected level.
  • See how the squad deal with trying to play football against a quality level of opposition.

Other than the main points above, the result doesnt really mean much to myself.

It's all about what we get out of the game for me.

Any one got an idea of attendance for this?

Or more importantly how many away fans there bringing ?

I think someone said 5,500?

Estimated 5,500.

Birmingham fans cannot afford to go to Leicester.
