BigmanLee Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 Must say the new commentator on Radio Leicester made me laugh with some of his quotes yesterday..... His name is Ian Stringer for all thoses that did not know - He was in the Apprentice! Alot better than John "i love derby" Barber. Any thoughts from you fellow foxestalk listeners??

Alot better than John "i love derby" Barber. Any thoughts from you fellow foxestalk listeners?? Listened to the highlights on the way home from the match. ''What a craking goal from Chambers! That is really superb stuff from... no wait, sorry, It's Porter.'' I'm sure he'll get there though...
lildave3 Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 Anyone that makes shit puns and laughs at his own jokes is fine by me.
lcfcrinaldi Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 I didnt think he was that bad to be fair, he will improve.
Finchy Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 Yeah i like him, you can't judge the guy yet, he's only just started. Anyway he's miles better than ****in Barber already.
Milky Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 I'll have no respect for him until he actually learns who all of our players are. Sadly that Chambers/Porter error has been just one of many so far.
Unabomber Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 At least he is not a Derby fan. And tbh I am at the games so I don't really hear him anyway. Although after the Brum match I got to the car just in time to hear him confuse Porter with Chambers that was abit cringeworthy.

Austin Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 I vote Smutts for Commentator .. He KNOWS who Levi is .. FACT.
Vardinhio Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 hilarious comment when talking about jerome. "The tall, well built, braded hair down the back on the neck striker" and stringers view on stand capacity. "just the west stand has city fans in tonight, the south stand is empty, the north stand is empty, the east stand is empty" Thanks for clearing that one up! I think he did a good job. Very enthusiastic and actually made the game sound interesting. Very enjoyable banter.
The Stig Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 I want to go in to Broadcast Journalism. It's all I want to do, and I will move heaven and earth to get there. I know I could do this job, and do a decent job of it. Therefore if this guy is crap, it will annoy me more than most. Saying that I hope he isn't and I wish him the best of luck.
Milky Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 chambers and porter are easy to confuse!hes better than that retard we had commentating last season, shocking, shocking, shocking...... Wrong
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 He's okay, isn't he? I'm not gonna start marching down to Radio Leicester HQ demanding he be fired.
act smiley Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 Stringer is crap, but not massively so. This is a marked improvement over last season.
Asha Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 I like him. Not distinctively annoying about him. Although he's no Neville Foulger.
blueharmie Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 Wrong right. a few pints and i can tell the difference.
Unabomber Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 I think he is pretty funny actually, have you heard how bad Pearson just slates him whatever quesion he asks
fox123 Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 Bring back the legend that is........... Neville Foulger
Asha Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 Bring back the legend that is.........Neville Foulger I agree. He knew what he were on about. Plus, David Pleat has Leicester connections, bring him in as a summariser.
Alexikokopops Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 I agree. He knew what he were on about.Plus, David Pleat has Leicester connections, bring him in as a summariser. Right, that's it. Any view you have on commentators is null and void for suggesting that man should have a job as one.
Asha Posted 30 July 2008 Posted 30 July 2008 Right, that's it. Any view you have on commentators is null and void for suggesting that man should have a job as one. If he's a summariser, he has to sit up in the west stand in the press area. We could all smuggle in there and butcher the bollocks out of him.
MPH Posted 31 July 2008 Posted 31 July 2008 I agree. He knew what he were on about.Plus, David Pleat has Leicester connections, bring him in as a summariser. oh dear oh dear. what a way to kill your reputation as a respected FT'er in one simple post.
