Ric Flair Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Undisclosed fee, 3 year deal to Doncaster. On the OS.
MikeyT Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Bye bye James! Expect this to pave the way for a new face maybe today or in the next few!
Tilley Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Hope he does well there. Shit decision to sell him in my opinion.
Fox in a Box Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 its been on the transfer section for a least 3 minutes come on guys!
Sods Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Fair enough, would like to see a new right back and left back. Even at cover, if suspension or injuries appear. We could have a problem.
Simi Posted 4 August 2008 Author Posted 4 August 2008 I still prefer him to Gilbert based on all the pre-season games. Hope we've got a half decent fee.
lildave3 Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Not pleased about this tbh, but I suppose Chambers wanted the move.
Ric Flair Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 It amazes me why James Chambers has had about 12 different managers since he's been at Leicester and less than a tenth of those have been interested in playing him regularly. As a mere fan, he's always looked competent and good going forward, without being particularly spectacular, but safe as houses. Behind the scenes he must be serving up some dross in training to keep getting ignored by our management teams. Fairwell James, enjoy Keeping Moat.
Babylon Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Not fussed as long as we get left and right back cover.
billyfox1 Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 not happy about this one. i notice there's nothing on the OS like "the club would like to place on record thier thanks for all James efforts...etc" like they have done for everyone. Good Luck James
Ric Flair Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Jack Hobbs, Kishishev, Lee Cox, Luke O'Neill and even Bruno N'Gotty can all play at right back. Ok, we'd probably all rather have someone else come in to replace Chambers, but i've been impressed with Cox every time i've seen him for the reserves/academy. To think we had 8 of the bastards this time last season.
Simi Posted 4 August 2008 Author Posted 4 August 2008 Not fussed as long as we get left and right back cover. I can't beleive we've got to a point where we need cover at right back! Left back would be my main concern at the moment.
Alexikokopops Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Hope he does well there.Shit decision to sell him in my opinion. Doesn't sound like the management team had much of a say in the matter However, following the Foxes relegation, Chambers has exercised a release clause in his contract, allowing him to leave.
Tilley Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Doesn't sound like the management team had much of a say in the matter I see. Thanks for clearing that up.
General Smuts Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 I can't believe i heard a rumour before it actually happened. Granted i earwigged it whilst having a kickabout and it was passed down through people but that makes me cool right? RIGHT??? Well my mum says im cool. He activated a clause in his contract so we can't really complain.
Babylon Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Jack Hobbs, Kishishev, Lee Cox, Luke O'Neill and even Bruno N'Gotty can all play at right back. I know what you mean, I suppose if Clem doesn't go Kish will be fine as cover for RB... N'Gotty I can't see playing for us again.
Jay Posted 4 August 2008 Posted 4 August 2008 Doesn't sound like the management team had much of a say in the matter FINALLY someone else notices the clause in his contract bit and the fact that it was his choice to leave and we good do nothing about it and instead go on about bad decision to sell him blah blah blah. he didn't want to stay so thanks but so long, goodbye and all that nonsense
