GLC Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 OH...You want us to sing and shout do you?You want us to create an intimidating atmosphere do you? You want us to 'Get behind the players and management and chairman do you?? Would one like me to stick a broom up ones arse to help sweep up after the game too??? that made me laugh ,
Narborough Bod Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 I'll be waiting for the first City player to do a dodgy pass and wait for the crowd to start moaning. Cus lets face it, there'll be a section that do! Stearman's left mate...(ONLY JOKING THRACIAN) We should petition the club to let the team come out to Russ Abbot's Atmosphere, and play snippets every time we score!!
maddog Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 The 1st and last home games of the season always have a great atmosphere and are the best of the season. And maybe 1 game in between, around 3 out of 23 games have a really good atmosphere. The other 20 it's shit. The Kop is meant to make all the noise but after sitting at the sides for a few games last season i couldn't hear the Kop, their that quiet. All i could here at the sides were the away fans.
Asha Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 I'll be in SK3. And I don't give a fook what people behind me think. I'm going to stand up and sing off tune in my own way and look like a twat but support my team. I did that in N Block virtually on my own. Away fans found it funny.
Guest Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Its all happening in SK1 Indeed it is I cannae wait for saturday

Basingstoke Fox Posted 7 August 2008 Posted 7 August 2008 Even if the kop is loud, you cant usually hear them on the other side of the stadium because its a crap stadium, abit like when sheffield wednesday came up and there was 5,000 of them, you could kind of tell when they were loud but at the back of F1 I could barely hear them when they scored! (3 f**king times )

Asha Posted 8 August 2008 Posted 8 August 2008 CC Stand up!Pffft I have people complain behind me that I stand up and im MM. Good luck though. I will try. I could always move to the back if people really aren't having it. Lets face it, if you're on Row CC you will NOT be standing up and you know it. I will try. SK1 SK1...give us a wave...
Lovejoy Posted 8 August 2008 Posted 8 August 2008 The reason you can't hear the kop is because below the top 8 or so rows, hardly anyone sings. Not to say no one does, but very few people do.
MikeyT Posted 8 August 2008 Posted 8 August 2008 20,000 people in other words . Thats right! You know it will happen! haha We are such a fickle lot us football fans!
Phlashman Posted 8 August 2008 Posted 8 August 2008 I hate these threads. But I suppose with the optimism of a new season we've got to have something to moan about. At the end of the day the Atmosphere hasn't been great because we've had pretty much f**k all to cheer for years now, no-one is going to cheer us doing shit. once we get back to seeing something on the pitch worth cheering the atmosphere will come.

Thats the difference between english fans and the rest of the world. I never understood why it should make a difference.
