I didn't know Tony Livesey was an editor at the Sport "newspapers" before BBC.  Christ that must have been a crazy place to work in the 90's.

I remember the  tv documentary on the Sport, where Livesey ‘interviewed’ a woman, who thought her son had been reincarnated as a fishfinger!

From a councillor for Bosworth.

Why fix something that's not broken?

'protect our children'.

'No, not like that!'

'This morning I attended the Leicestershire County Council Scrutiny Commission.

At the meeting I condemned the decision of the Reform Led County Council to scrap the Council’s School Meals service.

The service was known for providing some of the best quality, nutritious school meals to school pupils in the county. 86 of the 102 school sites were rated as 5 star by the School Food Standards Auditor for the school meals they provided. Given the high quality meals provided by the County’s Meal service it may well be that the alternatives are of lower quality and less nutritionally beneficial.

In addition the School Meals service had been turned around financially in the last few years from a loss making organisation to one that was making a profit of over £100,000 this year. The County Council also reports that the costs of ending the service will be £360,000!

I believe the Reform led County Council’s decision to end the County Council’s School Meals service is a short sighted one. It means losing a service which provided high quality meals for local school children and losing a service that had begun to deliver a profit.'

... what is it with too many blokes and being knuckle dragging shitebags to women simply because of some grotesque idea that they have the right to do it to them?

I posted this very question about a year ago.  Why are very so many inadequate men around that can’t deal with rejection?  I don’t remember there being so many instances of this type of misogyny say 30 years ago.

I think this is a bit of two things; there was a lot of misogynistic violence back then, we just didn't get to hear about it as much, and social media aiding and abetting such misogynist trends by helping pieces of shite connect with and encourage each other in their shiity behaviour.

Good job that wasn't anyone of colour attacking...wheelie bins would be flying all over the place and fires and cars being torched.

To a certain extent yes and the internet of course will connect like minded individuals. However, the issue of why do so many have this mindset of entitlement is the real conundrum.

Anyone who votes reform knowing what they know now is just a selfish self destructive c unit.

Reform want to destroy anything good and spread misery and hate throughout the country.

At the risk of causing offence, I think quite a few have always had that mindset of entitlement towards women. It was just more socially acceptable back then and (thankfully) is becoming less so now, so those with that mindset, like the dinosaurs they are, are roaring and trying to preserve their own entitlement, even when the meteor is incoming.

Absolutely no offence caused.  Interesting review from Durham University and the stats make sobering reading.

You only need to read the “Birds you fancy off the telly” thread to see how utterly weird men are about women.

Some will say it’s harmless I’m sure and I’m a woke snowflake but some of the comments make me physically cringe

It’s very 1970s in there.

Don't like to police threads but I think this one should be reserved for actual ****s, not evil people I try very hard to avoid reading about for my own mental wellbeing.
