shen Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 ... or six Lewandowskis. 96k wasn't even enough to lure him away... greedy bugger <_<
shen Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 For Valencia I've £11million. I need a left back, centre mid and a striker. Not convinced about Renan in goal either.Probably going to blow it all on a forward. Apart from Villa, I've no one up front as Aaron and Zigic are out on loan and Morientes is w@nk. any recommendations as to who'd complement Villa and cost less than £11m? Pogrebnyak, Oscar Cardozo, David Gigliotti, Jozy Altidore, Asamoah Gyan, Nilmar or Humberto Suazo (if you're looking for a very cheap striker) etc. etc.
Ozwin Posted 3 March 2009 Posted 3 March 2009 My computer doesn't let me play in windowed mode either, it's something to do with your PC I think.
Finnegan Posted 3 March 2009 Posted 3 March 2009 Like I said, you really don't need windowed mode - it looks funny anyway. FM isn't too demanding you should just be able to Alt Tab quickly in and out of it.
Ashley Posted 3 March 2009 Posted 3 March 2009 The 9.3 patch, I've won 3 games on the row and i've scored 8 goals, 5 of these goals have gone in off the post has anybody else found this the same or is it just me?
samlcfc Posted 3 March 2009 Posted 3 March 2009 , i just tried to buy vagner for 10 mil plus jo and they came bac with a negotiationi thought it was gonna be drawn out agen but their resolve was to just ask for 10mil hahaha bargain had it alll set up and was just waiting for the transfer to go through and tey turned down his work permit, was annoyed so enlightened myself, by buying sergio aguero

Lovejoy Posted 3 March 2009 Posted 3 March 2009 Trezeguet for £13m or Vagner Love for £15m? Quick answer please .
Finnegan Posted 3 March 2009 Posted 3 March 2009 Wagner Love's way younger isn't he? I'd never spend that much money on a thirty year old, fuck Trezequet.
Lovejoy Posted 3 March 2009 Posted 3 March 2009 Wagner Love's way younger isn't he?I'd never spend that much money on a thirty year old, fuck Trezequet. Finishing and composure 20. In an Iti net game he was immense for a mate, that's why I'm tempted. Though VL would be a better long term investment. But then next season I'll have Aaron and Zigic back ?
shen Posted 3 March 2009 Posted 3 March 2009 Wagner Love's way younger isn't he?I'd never spend that much money on a thirty year old, fuck Trezequet. I concur. Love is the way forward, although you can get better strikers for 15 mil
Lovejoy Posted 3 March 2009 Posted 3 March 2009 I concur. Love is the way forward, although you can get better strikers for 15 mil I've found the new patch has seen teams become more demanding in the market .
Lovejoy Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 Went for the Love . Top 4 would be a very good season for me I reckon, long way to go to be better than Real and Barca.
Lovejoy Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 Just had a butchers at your Rayo formation Finners. Silva, Mata and Joaquin are well suited for it methinks. Might have a gander at it in preseason .
Fox You Forest Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 The 9.3 patch, I've won 3 games on the row and i've scored 8 goals, 5 of these goals have gone in off the post has anybody else found this the same or is it just me? The thing I've noticed most except for the piss poor dribbling is a massive amount of penalty appeals i seem to be getting atleast 3 or 4 a game.

Have no idea what it works like in the new patch but it used to be blinding - I destroyed Spain with it.
Fox You Forest Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 On a game i just started as City i got a news item saying Leeds were interested in a player so i had a look he was pretty good and went after him but lots of Championship clubs bid also so i had no chance anyway i looked at some of his team mates but none were as good as him. I clicked on the Slovenia flag by mistake so just decided to have a look anyway and found this guy. I had a 220k bid accepted but he won't come because he's just signed for them for 60k, Hope he comes in January. Only 18
Finnegan Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 Mate, he's rubbish. Look again at his stats - they're all just set piece stuff. He lacks pace so as a striker you're going to want him to be either a goal poacher or a target man, right? He can't finish, he has no off the ball, little anticipation, low jumping and non existant heading. Basically, he's never going to be a forward. So then you look at him as an AMC. What you want there is a bit of finishing (fail), good passing (fail), good decision making (fail), good creativity (fail), good team work (fail) and at least an average amount of bravery so he doesn't get kicked out of a game (fail.) All your boy has going for him is a high long shots score. If you're the sort of club that can afford to spend 220k on a player, this is not a good one to buy. I hear what you're saying about him being 18, but so? 18 is old. To develop a youngster you have to play him which means he has to be good enough to get in your starting line up consistently - not just now but in the Championship. And that's assuming he actually has high potential. And given his awful work rate and determination I'm willing to bet he's not exactly going to be training like a bitch. I'm glad he turned you down. So should you be. Saved you some dollar. The only way I'd sign him is if a 20/20 judgement scout told me he'd be a Leading Premier League Player and even then I'd be apprehensive. Edit: He could be retrained as a winger, but given the "fixes" to dribbling speeds on the 9.3 patch I personally wouldn't bother given the fact he's fairly slow. And again, you want a fair bit of flair and creativity for a winger which he doesn't really have. Edit edit: I'm sorry, I realise that could have come across as quite harsh. I don't mean to be.

New England Fox Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 I dunno about all this analysis, I just ask my assistant if a guy will be a good signing.
Finnegan Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 I dunno about all this analysis, I just ask my assistant if a guy will be a good signing. In my experience, learning to be a good judge of player stats is a cornerstone of the game. There are very few times I'd take the AI's opinion over my own.
New England Fox Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 Well I was partially joking, I do listen to the AI's opinion, but I also go by stats too, kind of utilizing both.
Finnegan Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 I need a new country to manage in... any ideas? Serbian league looks pretty tasty. Massive list of FacePacks here. Sort yourself out and off you go. Win the Champs League with Partizan sounds like a decent challenge.
