Fox You Forest Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Have SI actually released patch notes this time? http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?t=106355
Ozwin Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 I hate the part of the year in between end of the season and waiting for the transfer window to open.
dandannieldanok Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?t=106355 Didn't realise there were so many bugs on the last patch!
Fox You Forest Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Didn't realise there were so many bugs on the last patch! I know, I gave up half way down.
Ozwin Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Can I carry on with my game? Or is it one of those patches that take effect when you start a game?
Ashley Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 I like the new goals, with the posts at the back which make them rectangle/box shaped
Finnegan Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Can I carry on with my game? Or is it one of those patches that take effect when you start a game? Gameplay changes will affect your game. Database changes won't.
Brainy Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Cristiano Ronaldo is the Chairman of Man Utd on my FM08 game   Its 2027.
Finnegan Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Not amused. As a counter attacking player I do NOT like the "let's make everyone dribble at 1 mile an hour" 'fix'.
JoeyB Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Right thats timeing, just got bored of wining everything with Everton, New City game here i come
Finnegan Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Not a fan. Aye. I'll give it time 'cos I do know I'm a bit of a change phobe. But the dribbling fix makes the whole thing feel odd.
Samilktray Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Aye. I'll give it time 'cos I do know I'm a bit of a change phobe. But the dribbling fix makes the whole thing feel odd. I noticed it all seems a bit slower. But theres something else not quite right about it...
Finnegan Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 I noticed it all seems a bit slower. But theres something else not quite right about it... The new look of the 2d is whack too.
Ashley Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 I'm liking the new update so far. First friendly in new game with Leicester. Cardiff City 1 - 4 Leicester City. PS: Finners, Whats the Tactic you use, can you post formation and details etc please?
Fox You Forest Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 I can't decide who to be so just selected all leagues from England, Wales, Scotland and NI, Start unemployed with no reputation and see where i end up.
Finnegan Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Do you want the 4 5 1 that got me promoted from the Championship or the the formation I posted a while ago that I was using in La Liga?

Finnegan Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 My L1/Championship formation. And entirely my own work, had the most success with it. I had Lewandowski up front, have used this formation twice in that league and both times he finished with 40+ goals. To that end I would suggest a competant striker is a cornerstone of that formation. Don't be fooled by the lone striker, it very much fits the "score-one-more-than-you" mentality. Works best with the CM as playmaker, in my experience. The faster / skilled formation. I've only really had marked success with this with teams in the top flight that can actually play football. It may be tweaked for lower leagues but I didn't try really. I borrowed elements of this formation from another forum where people were getting huge success with it. I played it on my Rayo Vallecano game and came third in La Liga a few points behind Real. I found it to be MASSIVELY effective to a degree I almost found boring! Went the whole season and only lost about 3 games and only drew four or five, as Rayo!! Nb. As a note, in the latter formation my AMC was scoring just as many goals as my striker so one with good finishing is advised. For the first formation, you don't need a world class sprinter up front but I would suggest someone with at least 12+ pace and acc for the one-on-ones. How different that will be since they fucked up dribbling speeds in this patch I don't know.
