Samilktray Posted 9 December 2008 Posted 9 December 2008 Just took City up via the play offs in my first season.
dave_the_fox Posted 9 December 2008 Posted 9 December 2008 Think the update today was an update to the editor? Im not on steam and dont think i gonna bother downloading this!
Finnegan Posted 9 December 2008 Posted 9 December 2008 Ibisevic refusing to sign for Hoffenheim. Would love it if he'd come here. Is currently "reviewing his options" or whatever. If I get promoted and he's still out of contract he's so coming here.
BoneHead. Posted 9 December 2008 Posted 9 December 2008 Completed started a fresh on this, delted all my games and started again with Leicester. Signed Christanval and Carr got bid in for James Brown (I feel good).
dandannieldanok Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 For once on this game I've got a lot of money but no need or to spend it.
morris1234 Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 gone tits up with the mighty shots. just started second half of season, coming towards end of january, dropped to 11th after going 9 games without a win, my best 2 midfielders injury plagued and my main striker danny hylton forever injured, signed mark bentley for free from gillingham, sanchez watt from my parent club arsenal on loan and slusarski on loan whos just scored 2 on his debut in a 6-0 win over macclesfield. back on track.
Samilktray Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 How do you get players to tutor another player?
Lovejoy Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 How do you get players to tutor another player? Go on the player you want to be tutored, select player interaction, and at the bottom of the screen choose the player you want to tutor them. Then choose one of the three options on how much time you want the players to spend together . Piece of cake.

Finnegan Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 NAH NAH NAAAAH NAH! NAH NAH NAAAAH NAH! HEY HEY HEY! GOOOOOODBYE!
syston_fox Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 Decided to start a game with Man City and it's so frustrating in the transfer market having all this cash but no-one wants to sign for you. Easily won through the first two qualifying rounds of the UEFA Cup and just won the first league game away at Newcastle. Shame about all the injuries and suspensions!
Finnegan Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 You're doing it wrong. Thing with football manager is that you DON'T need the best players in every position to be succesful. What you need is the right stats in the right positions. Man City have phenominal prospects because you have enough money to buy all the right players to fit in all the right holes and have the squad depth to cover any injury problems. Take my boy Lewandowski for example. He'll sign for a League One club at about 400k at the start of the game. Easily good enough to score 20+ per season in the Premiership and is only 20.
Lovejoy Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 Started the Prem season having not lost in my previous 39 league games, and held Arsenal to a very creditable 0-0. Then threw away the record at Reading 1-0 in a shocker of a game. 4 shots in the entire match, and one was a goal .

Can I not dream of a front three of Henry, Robinho and Torres though? Pretty please?
Lovejoy Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 Right then, this is how I'm lining up to tackle my first season in the prem: The amount spent/recieved: Think I've done pretty well here on a shoestring budget . Remains to be seen through the season though as to whether the squad will be strong enough .
Finnegan Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 You had 1.9m in your first Prem season and JoeyB had 20m? I'm still calling shenanigans.
JoeyB Posted 10 December 2008 Posted 10 December 2008 You had 1.9m in your first Prem season and JoeyB had 20m?I'm still calling shenanigans. Im not lieing. It helps when i sold Kisnorbo for 6M won the championship. Sosbanfach - how much you had when you got to the prem?

Not there yet. I'll get off your back if I get 10m+ in an hour or so when I go up. January rumours were that Newcastle and Everton were willing to pay £25m for Baek Ji-Hoon, though. So if I get promoted and get no money I'll flog him and buy an entire team.

I got 29.5M when i started for playing in the prem. and said i wanted to get a mid-table position and when i got to choose how much i wanted i had 34 m in my bank. and i adjusted the budget too
