DB11 Posted 15 December 2008 Author Posted 15 December 2008 Forgive me if my eyes are letting me down, but have a butchers on the date the contract will run to : I don't think that's right.
morris1234 Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 yeah, on the editor, all youngsters that dont have pro contract have 1900 as there contract status, sort of a default thing, just sign him then offer him a new one when you can!

Well I offered him a contract to 2011, so no harm done, but it did make me giggle.
Fox You Forest Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 Fleck turns out to be quality There is a Scottish lad called Gary Glen he turns pretty good also.
DB11 Posted 15 December 2008 Author Posted 15 December 2008 My team is so inconsistent When I play good I am unbeatable in League One but then the next game I'll draw 1-1 with bloody Northampton. This inconsistency I might make play offs but I wouldn't count on going up
Finnegan Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 I really can't wait for the day football management games stop treating Michael Owen like some sort of god. Fucks sakes. <_< There goes my Hullesque start to the season.
Ashley Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 I started again with Leicester on the normal database, made some good signings. First game of the season agaisnt Colchester they go 1-0 up in the 64th minute, decided to bring on Howard inplace of Heidar Helguson then I brought Chopra off, the on loan Ched Evans replaced him. This tactic proved to be a sucess Howard scoring in the 73rd minute then Evans in the 80th, Howard again in the 82nd then Evans again on the 88th. Final Score 4-1.
Ashley Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 Second Game - Carling Cup First Round Leicester City 4 - Howard (x2), Evans, Oakley Lincoln City 1
Matt Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 I'm getting well frustrated now, We've done ok all season but now we have 10 games left i'm second, Leeds top, we're about 7 points behind Leeds and our form has started to go abit dodgy. When Leeds draw and it gives us an opportunity to gain some points on them we fooking lose. (Obviously we'll still get promoted in second but I wanna win the league) And then I show my frustration in the team in my team talks and they go crying to the press. (And the teams we are losing to are Crewe, Cheltenham, e.t.c) :@
Finnegan Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 YOU'RE SHIT! AND YOU KNOW YOU ARE! Meanwhile in the Prem, new signing Daniel Candeias makes his debut for portugal, swiping the right wing spot off Christiano (who lines up on the left.)
morris1234 Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 finished 13th in the league with the mighty shots, was going to leave but bringing in some cracking free signings. steve lovell, brian carrigan, scott flinders*, ryan berry*, tom craddock*, craig molloy*,michael mcgowan. * confirmed signings! still might leave if i get the right offer, theres just no money what so ever and if i d get those players^^ im going to have to sell, and sell cheap my remaining sqaud as i have no money, ill have note to spend and barely a decent wage budget! edit: woop lovell confirmed, he was the one i really wanted! great striker for league 2!
Lovejoy Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Stingy Milan has refused me January funds . 6 points off safety with this joke of a squad. 1st ever relegation beckons .

Lovejoy Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 if i were id just go for it then, play 3-4-1-2 and see how you get on! nothing to lose! I've got no out and out goalscorer though, so I'm tempted to play extremely negative, and hope the midfield chip in . Saha is dreadful. EDIT: Just beat Reading 2-0, Diogo and Michael Morrison . Anyway, Tunchev ! 10 yellows and just got his 3rd red of the season. Tempted to sell tbh.
Granno Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Just got City promoted via the League 1 playoffs! a 4-4 epic with Swindon, which I won 8-7 on penalties
Tilley Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Finally going to buy this tomorrow, really in the mood to get back on to Football Manager.
Jimmy2Drags Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Maybe next time. What size pitch does everyone go for? Widest & shortest. Use wingers & wingbacks. Put left footed striker on the right hand side, 1 def-mid running forwards, 1 att-mid. The tactic won't work imediatley, so set it for your reserves & under 18's to start with. After about a month or so, set it for your first team. This tactic is good for home matches. For away games, 4 at the back, 2 def-mids, 1 centre mid, att-mid left & right, 1 striker. Again, the tactic won't work imediatley, so set it for your reserves & under 18's to start with. During the month when the reserves & under 18's use this tactic, use as many first team players as possible for those games. The players will get used to it quicker.
Mikey Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 26 games with Leicester in the Premier gone, I'm sitting in 14th. Not won in 5 games. Elmander has been out for ages, still my top scorer though with 9.

Mikey Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 HA relegation beckons Yes! A Beckford brace gives me a 2-0 win over Bolton. Followed by a 2-1 loss to Man City, Bentley getting a last minute winner. And a great 3-1 away win at Spurs.
Finnegan Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 The fact you're playing Beckford in the Prem says it all.
Darkzzz_ Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Lewandowski Rules.... I should know... I hear about him most mornings now...
