Looking at the fixtures I think I've got a fractionally easiser run in than Hull (3rd, 2 points behind) but I'll be surprised if I don't end up needing to go through the play offs, to be honest. I've hit a run of bad form at the wrong time - as has Lewandowski and Hoon and Randall's injured. Borough (1st, 7 points ahead) look like they've got it in the bag. They were 12 points ahead when I beat them a few games ago, so they've been dropping points but I can't see them dropping enough for me to pip them. Not unless I win every game and they lose a few easy ones (they couldn't have a kinder run in, Bristol, Doncaster, Millwall and Blackpool.)

I've tried to balance the fact I pinched four of their best players on the cheap by loaning them a left-back and a right-back, but it already looks like they'll be facing a battle to stay in League One.

Guppy Posted 11 December 2008 Posted 11 December 2008 I hate it how regens can take over the english leagues within 4-5 seasons, seems to happen a lot quicker than on fm08 and personally I think it ruins the game a bit because they are monsters at the age of 19. Oh and Delfouneso is a beast! (signed him at WBA on a free - I bet Villa fans hate me, especially has he bagged a brace against them at Villa Park )

CosbehFox Posted 12 December 2008 Posted 12 December 2008 I lost it Bochum. I had a real duff first half of the season - so I thought right then, time to get some proven quality in. Sold Sestak and Malritz for the combined fee of 7.5m, bought Pogenebiak from Zenit for 2million and then began a hunt for a defender. Bochum wouldn't give me the 7.5m and Pogy I couldn't register!! So I played the first game with 6 subs and a 34 year old on the pitch. Then had enough - told FM to f**k itself. And loaded up my Macc Town in the Conf. 6th with 7 games to go and 6 pts behind. Back to the drawing board on that.

Billy Sharp and Dave Mooney are a lethal strike partnership, I just hope they don't suffer any injuries because I've only got Gifton Noel-Williams and Steve Howard in reserve.

This is becoming a pain (especially the fact i was 3-0 up as QPR at home to Preston) ive already resigned to the fact that i cant watch the game any more but even now when i make a sub it is doing it! Can anyone give me advice ?? much love x
