The database has gone and when I try to load the game it says it could not find the database and then FM crashes :|

Redownload the database you hosted?

After the farce that was Newcastle im starting with Pompey mainly because I want to see how far I can get in Europe.

Transfer budget of £0 may be a stumbling block. The thing were you can get your Assistant to compile a report on available loan players is very useful though.

FM 08 - Hyde United, 3 games in, hectic. Brought in with 8 games to go, sitting 21st and 8 points off safety. Not good. First game though against Blyth Spartans - won 3-0 :D Next match away at Vauxhall, losing 3-1 but the match finished 4-4. Now just played Boston at home and lost 5-4, was 4-2 down but levelled it at 4-4 before they won it in stoppage time :(

Enjoying it so far, although I can't sign anyone without it getting cancelled, and I'll have to leave at the end of the season because i'm gonna get relegated. But Gareth Seddon is a hero, 8 goals in 3 games, including 2 hat tricks :w00t: :D

3 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats wasn't enough to keep me up. :(

I shall look forward to my next job, parent clubs are the key. Managed to get Wigan as mine, brought in a few youngsters and they were pretty nifty. Kupisz (sp?) especially.

He's got worse stats than Fryatt and is about as slow.

If I employ a striker with 7 heading he best damn well have some skates on him.

Edit: Weds 25th March. 104 points. Champions.

Is there any way you can play this and go on the internet, e.t.c at the same time. Like changing the windows/screen?

I have just played my first game of the season, I had 6 Friendlies I think won 3, lost 2, and just won my first game of the season 2-0 v S****horpe.

Can anyone recommend me a prolific 20 goal a season striker for the championship, not quite sure of my budget yet but should have upto £3/4m.

This is the scorers chart 41 games into my Championship season:

Can anyone give me a quick walkthrough on how to start a network game?

Page 51 of the manual explains it pretty well, although it doesnt work when I do what it says there.

Finally got round to starting a game with Leicester.

2 games in, Fryatt comes off the bench and breaks his leg within 30 seconds of being on, out for 6 months.

Fantastic.

I saw Robert Lewandowski recommended as a signing for a newly promoted Leicester on the FM forums, I'm going to try snap him up for about a million when Mandaric gives me some money for my first year in the Champ.

I got Choi Sung-Kook in League One, you'll easily get him with 3/4mil even if his price has blown up a bit since the start of the game. Excellent as both a nippy striker and a wide man on either wing. My scouts / coaches are always telling me (even whilst he was off form in League One) that he's Premier League quality.

Signed him in January of the first season for £1.5m on my Bochum. The guy dug me out soon deep holes when battling towards the end of the season.

Apps 14 (2) Goals 9...20 yrs old.

Dribbling 14.....Finishing 15....Bravery 16....Composure 16.....Pace 16....Strength 19

Dynamite....just like him in real life.
