Yes, football is back. The proper stuff that is. Been a quite week, what with us doing well and not playing.

Fryatt Howard

Simple selection for me, Dickov still pushing very hard for a start, but a way to for that yet.

Martin hasn't convinced me that much over the games he's played and Henderson is yet to concede(?). Would be nice to see the competition carry on taking place between the pair though. :thumbup:

How can someone first choce for Bulgaria not be first choice for Leicester in 3rd tier of english football . With all respect to Morrison he is a conference signing

Well the bones of contention are simple. Henderson or Martin. Tunchev or either Morrison or Hobbs.

For me Martin has done nothing to convince me he's better than Henderson so the latter gets my vote.

And Tunchev seems to read the game so well and so calmly so I'll go with him and Hobbs although there really isn't a lot in it.

Powell looks settled at left-back which is solid enough rather than in any way spectacular. And the rest of the team picks itself.

Henderson;

Gilbert, Tunchev, Hobbs, Powell;

Gradel, King, Oakley, Dyer;

Howard, Fryatt.

Subs from: Martin, Morrison, Wesolowski, Campbell, Adams, Dickov.

I can't believe i am putting this but it worked playing Dickov on the wing against Cheltenham so i think it is worth a shot again, with Gradel coming on 2nd half:

It all feels so stable.

Really satisfying to see everyone coming up with roughly the same team. As far as I'm concerned the midfield and attack picks itself. As Thracian said the only real decision is who to play in goal and at centre half.

I'd play Henderson and then Hobbs and Tunchev. To help him settle I think Tunchev needs games and Hobbs from what I've read is solid and probably too good for this level. Thing is I doubt Morrison will be dropped. We'll see.

The team just looks balanced. More balanced than it's looked for years. Looking forward to going to this one, first league game of the season for me.

People have dropped the Tunch I can't believe it.

Even if Hobbs and Morrison are playing brilliantly (which they are) surely he is at least better than Powell?

Mark Dyer like a limpet and our wing threat is finished and Tunchev very vulnerable to the counter attack. You seem to be making the classic mistake of trying to accommodate all your favourite players instead of choosing a balanced team that has as many attacking alternatives as possible.

The reason I left Tunchev out of my team is because he will probably only return to England on Thursday and might be a bit jaded after international duty. I don't see the need to throw him straight back into the team when possibly tired, for me it would be a tight call to choose two of the three anyway even if Tunchev hadn't been away. I certainly disagree with the theme of it has to be Tunchev and one of the others.

Well Chelsea will be struggling come Sunday with all them internationals.

Tunch will be fine and has a lot more experience than the others (except Powell). He's been outstanding.
