gutted, turned onto a stream of the 49ers only to hear the commentator say: "and the falcons take the lead for the first time in the game, with 2 seconds to go..."

the 49ers seem to be doing a leicester city this season... :(

Ha! just seen the highlights, Falcons had the ball with 1.30 left and threw an interception and as the 49er was returning it he fumbled and gave it back to the Falcons.

Brutal performance by the Giants defense. Nine sacks in the first half alone, Cutler and the backup Collins both knocked out of the game with injuries. That was exactly the performance this team needed after two consecutive meltdowns.

Two big incidents involving the NY teams today.

First, out in Minneapolis...

Umm ... you might wanna get that fixed ... The Twin Cities got nearly 17 inches of snow and the Metrodome roof just couldn't keep up in one of the area's all-time strongest blizzards. The NFL has postponed the Vikings-Giants game to Monday night and has moved it to Ford Field in Detroit. I've been to the 'dome many times, and my friends and I did discuss once what would happen if the roof collapsed during the game and how crazy it would be (let's just say that Ricky Williams would have understood). Oh, and I suppose this gives Brett Favre one more day to rest his injuries and figure out some other way to make sure everything in the pre-game buildup is all about himself.

Then, this dickead Sal Alosi, strength and conditioning coach for the Jets, pulls this shit:

As if the Jets haven't been disgusting enough between the sidelines over the past two weeks, there's that to make things worse.

The Jets look like they're falling apart. Their play calling is terrible, Mark Sanchez has been awful lately, Santonio Holmes played embarrassingly bad, their kicker Nick Folk sucks and their defense just couldn't overcompensate for their poor offense.

Oh--by the way, the Patriots are on a roll. In their current five-game win streak, they dropped 39 on Pittsburgh at Heinz Field, intercepted 3 Peyton Manning passes, outscored the Lions 35-0 in the second half, then crushed 9-win teams by a combined score of 81-10 in consecutive weeks. Year in and year out...

Got to keep that streak going somehow!

Supposedly in a transition year too, they look frightening.

Eagles won 30-27 at the Cowboys in a pretty close affair. They were looking at how Vick throws the ball on American TV, I think my elbow would snap off if I tried anything similar.

And I hate the Patriots. I don't know why, but I reckon it might just be because they're too fucking good.
