Fox You Forest Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 Jesus fooking Christ, Feagles... CAN WE HAVE ONE GOOD PUNT TODAY, PLEASE? Sack the special teams coach! surely he was being told to kick it wide, nobody is that bad surely.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 AWESOME to see it live, even if we were in the top tier. Largely one-sided as expected but some good football played at points and would love to see a London franchise (it was talked about in the programme too). Some quality Cheerleading too EDIT: Also, Calvin Harris is hands down the worst singer ever What was the atmosphere like? Have fans managed to grasp the idea of being quiet when the home offence is working and loud when defending? (I was lucky enough to go to the first two and the majority of fans did not get it) I take it, the game was sold out? I think they had a little harder time in getting rid of the tickets this time, possibly down to the fact the initial sale went on in January (when people have nay money fools!) and by picking one mega team against one quite ordinary team. I didn't realise how bad Tampa's quarterack was!

I didn't realise how bad Tampa's quarterack was! It wasn't a bad atmos, but yeah there was a hard time getting to grips with the cheering thing I only really heard probably 2 occurrences of 'De-fence' throughout the whole game. Also you're right, it was obvious who would win this, and frankly it could have been even worse for Tampa. Think there was 84,500 there, I don't know how many the new Wembley holds but I guess 500 or so must have been taken off through those Bucs banners over the front seats on each side. Having not been able to get tickets to the previous games I was just really happy to get to see it live regardless.
Fox You Forest Posted 28 October 2009 Posted 28 October 2009 Chad Johnson or whatever he calls himself these days is a Twitter whore, he even does his own tv show on there. What a grade A.
Shadow_King Posted 28 October 2009 Posted 28 October 2009 Let's go Broncos continue that undefeated streak.
Fox You Forest Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Cracking game on now, Green Bay 38 - 38 Arizona. Bengals.
StanSP Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Cracking game on now, Green Bay 38 - 38 Arizona. Bengals. my mate had a £50 that in 2nd quarter Green Bay wouldn't come back to win . She's not liking Arizona at the minute haha.
StanSP Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 She better get her money ready, 45-45. Yeah just saw . How long left?
Fox You Forest Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Oh my. 9 seconds left looks like overtime kickers just had a 'mare.
Ultra Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Cardinals snatched it 51-45 in overtime. One of the all-time NFL classics - a credit to the league.
Samilktray Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 Hope the Saints win the Superbowl, would be good for a city thats had some bad times of late.
Fosse Boy Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 Hope the Saints win the Superbowl, would be good for a city thats had some bad times of late. This. Plus I can't stand the Colts.
Smiffy Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 Hope the Saints win the Superbowl, would be good for a city thats had some bad times of late. They were very lucky last night! Favre was stupid for even thinking about throwing that ball in the last few seconds. He would have been far better off running it in a little further and getting in field goal range. I think Indy will beat the Saints...but I'll be pulling for them.

Had acres of grass in front of him too, perhaps showing the disadvantages of having a 40 year old QB, probably felt his legs couldn't take it. I'd love to see Saints win to for the above mentioned reasons and the fact Sean Payton used to play for the Leicester Panthers. Colts will win though.
C-man Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 I was absolutely gutted last night. Horrible way to end an unbelievable season for Favre - he had generally played so well considering he went down almost every time he dropped back. Shame AP, Percy and Berrian couldn't keep hold of the ball better, but credit has to go to the Saints for forcing a couple of those - particularly Jonathon Vilma. Wasn't too impressed with a few of the calls in Overtime - the dropped catch and PI called on Ben Leber were favourable calls for 'America's team' - but the Vikings should have taken their chances when they had them. Can't see Favre returning for another year so hopefully Tarvaris will have learnt something from the legend.
Smiffy Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 Yeah, I'd be willing to bet that Favre is done...for good this time. I can't imagine he could take another season of the battering he got last night.
Jordan Posted 25 January 2010 Posted 25 January 2010 C-man, I don't believe in the supernatural, but I'm actually beginning to wonder whether or not the Vikings are legitimately cursed. Oh well. Anyway, this is a very exciting SB matchup for a neutral fan.
Fox You Forest Posted 9 September 2010 Posted 9 September 2010 Starts again tonight Vikings v Saints, Favre is back again... Can some change the thread title to just NFL thread as their is about three seasons worth in here.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 September 2010 Author Posted 9 September 2010 EAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGLLLLLLLLEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS. Pretty much a transitional season, this one. Alot of veterans moved on, hopefully giving the chance for some youth to shine. Read somewhere that the average age of this Eagles team is 25.5. Very, very young for an American football team. LeSean McCoy has some massive boots to fill since Westbrook was released even if he was plagued by injury last time out, hopefully he isn't missed too much. McCoy looks an exciting enough prospect, though. Donovan McNabb is a player that could be replaced relatively easily though, I think. For every game he's looked unplayable, there's been one where he's just looked gash. Looked imperious with Terrell Owens, but without him, and pretty much crippled by injury for the past five years, he's been more of a liability than anything else. The lack of a consistently dangerous / quality wide receiver since T.O left, which has to be five or so seasons ago now, hasn't really helped. Big season for Kevin Kolb if Reid chooses to use him as a regular starter at quarter back (which looks likely after pre-season). Not too shabby having Michael Vick as back-up though, really. Even if he is a cunt. Hopefully Jeremy Maclin and DeSean Jackson have good seasons at WR, although they're both pretty young, they're extremely talented. It's been way too long since the Eagles had anyone even touching the effectiveness of T.O there. I think they'll finish 10-6 in honesty, not a disappointment by any means given that this really is a season of rebuilding.
Jonezy Posted 10 September 2010 Posted 10 September 2010 Come on Patriots!!! Offense will sell tickets, but the defense will probably not be good enough for the Lombardi. Good season to all though, except for the Jets!
C-man Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 Just watched highlights from the NFC Championship game again Watching it again for the first time since made me sick. All those fumbles and missed opportunities... As for Thursday night - just getting round to watching it now...
