Bert Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Won 7-1 against the team in third today, keeping the pressure up on the leaders after they beat us 2-0 last week. We were expecting a much harder game than the scoreline suggests, and truth be told they didn't play that bad, their heads just dropped when we scored our first, which was indeed a screamer. 5-0 up at half time, and we came out in the second half a bit relaxed and took our foot off the tempo. They scored with the last kick of the game which was annoying! Scored 2 and set up 2, so I was pleased with my performance.

We were 2-0 up and the ref then gives the most dodgy of penalties and then they score via a wicked deflection. Was gutting because we went out without actually losing a match. 2 of our defenders got banned in the first knockout round, I knew it was gonna happen especially playing a team from up near Liverpool,, so we did really well, and we were playing so well too. We thought we could go all the way and had no reason not to, just a shame the exit was on penalties. Ah well. Was it you I was talking to on the sidelines?

Oh well, we'll have another go in the autumn!! I didn't see how it started because I went to give my best wishes to the lad being wheeled away, I turn round and it's all kicking off! From what the boys say, it was them that started it. Yeah we went out to Dundee. How I don't know. Didn't think they were much cop to be honest, we were battering them, they had 2 shots all game and they both went in. I guess that's how it goes though. We'll try again at the next one. The standard of team didn't really pick up last year until the semi, and I thought it was going to be the same again this year, sadly we'll never know!

Played a team that finished mid table last year and comfortably did them 12-3. Should be definately aiming for top 4 once we start playing every week again. Some decent play, just need to get the fitness back. Maybes, Tommeh and Tevez played aswel.
