Bert Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Drew our last two games 1-1. Very complacent from us really, even though we battered both teams in both games. Sloppy defending for both goals conceded and a lot of selfish play going on in our team at the minute.

David Guiza Posted 21 April 2010 Posted 21 April 2010 Won 2-1. I scored EPE's first goal in there history in our first game. Pretty chuffed considering we were playing a pretty decent side.

We played absolutely brilliant, and are now top with 1 game to go. So a win in our final rearranged game against arguably the worst team in the league will mean we're up as champions and preparing to take on Sly and his boys!

Bert Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 Won 5-0 today. Scored one and set one up, played fairly well. Should've been 10-0 at least, but "their" keeper made some really lucky saves and/or the ball kept getting hit straight at him. The one thing that infuriates me down where we play is the ref. Sometimes he's decent, sometimes he's bad. Their team today had a full squad of players, and he still let them borrow a goalkeeper, and if it wasn't for him it would've been a much higher scoreline. Their keeper also came out of the area, and he didn't give us a penalty because "I don't like to kick men when they're down". Fair enough we won and were always going to do so, but we could've had a few more goals to our goals for column and in our league goal difference is so crucial.

We're not sure if we're bothering next season. With Leisure Leagues handing out 5-0 victories like sweets, the leagues a bit of a joke! Some teams have had 4 or 5 of these but we've only had 1, so it's all a mess!! All in all though, despite that, we should hopefully finish 3rd in the league this season.

Sly Posted 2 May 2010 Posted 2 May 2010 I and another Cadiz player played for Dark Horses as they only had 4 players against Team with no name tonight. We drew 2-2, which could have cost them promotion.

UrbanFox Posted 3 May 2010 Posted 3 May 2010 Alright peeps, after bringing my Riverside Sunday League career to an end after this season due to the birth of first son and wanting my weekends back, me and some old mates decided to form a 5-a-side team. So introducing to the world we bring to you Bradgate Athletic FC. We are 1st on the waiting list for the leisure leagues Thursday nights at Loughborough College. Anyone else on Foxestalk play in this??
