lildave3 Posted 11 March 2010 Posted 11 March 2010 Nah he came over to Ashby. Like we'd play Hermitage when we all live 2 mins away from Hood Park! Tbh i'd change if I was in your situation. And i'm the laziest person in the Country.
Manwell Pablo Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 Tbh i'd change if I was in your situation. And i'm the laziest person in the Country. Naaahhh. I did think about it but no one to play for, and my mates really aren't going to go to the Hermitage to play football mate, Not on a Sunday night after Railway have played, they find it a hardship going to Hood Park! Plus Indoor Hood Park = £11 Your Leisure Leagues Garbage = £18 Plus the team I'm running has been in that league for nigh on 7/8 years now so I'd be loathed to be the one who finally pulls them out. Tempting as it will be after LL take over.

lcfcadam Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 Anyone play down at Lutterworth Soccer Centre? If so what team / night etc? I'm in Fedex Young Girls on Wednesday nights (don't even ask about the name) - pretty much if you want a free victory then join our league and you'll get it against us! Plenty of endeavour but little end product...
Ozwin Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 We've got our awards evening at Goals tonight, they're awarding us something because we played like 20 games this season, havn't won one and still kept coming back. Not sure if I can be arsed tbh.

Ozwin Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 It'll only be fun if I get sloshed, I don't have any ID and there's only like 3 people going. I suppose it's better than sitting on my arse here though.
Bert Posted 14 March 2010 Posted 14 March 2010 Won 4-0. Didn't break a sweat. Didn't play well either, perhaps the worst we've played in a very long time to be fair. Still, a win's a win and it's another clean sheet for us too. Tough game against Dandanieldannok's ever improving Dream Team next week.

Yea about that....I think the improving has come to abrupt end . We lost 2-1 today and in reality deserved to get beat more heavily, we were beyond woeful at times. On the plus side our keeper was once again very decent. Really not looking forward to next week, wouldn't mind starting on the bench tbh because I just can't hack the pace of some attackers at times. Our keeper is supposedly missing a game this month and if he's missing next week then we'd do better not to turn up and take the 5-0 defeat. If we have our keeper, then I predict 3/4-0, if we don't then I predict 6/7-0. You guys are strolling atm.
lildave3 Posted 14 March 2010 Posted 14 March 2010 Wtf, apparently even though our team had no game and it was down as a points match, we still had to pay the £18 match fee. Fuck off Leisure Leagues.

For obvious reasons everyone wants to beat us, but a few of your lads knows one of ours too, which makes it more tasty.
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 Wtf, apparently even though our team had no game and it was down as a points match, we still had to pay the £18 match fee. Fuck off Leisure Leagues. Yeah, one things I Really can't stand about them, we had to turn up at 9.30pm once to play a bunch of no hopers, made worse by the fact that we'd played our league fixture against them the week before and beat them 9-0, just so we could get a 5-0 result against the team that didn't turn up. Payed the £18 beat them 7-1 without really trying and the ref blew up 10 minutes early and fecked off home. Complete waste of time for everyone involved, only winner was Leisure Leagues bank balance :-/. Their website updates are also a joke, can't even get the spelling of the town right, or how many players are in a team (they keep putting six a side when it's FIVE) We were definitly pulling out at the end of the year but as we are somewhat suppasing all of our expectations at the minute it might be a case of one more year
Bert Posted 21 March 2010 Posted 21 March 2010 3-0 win for us today, can't say much else, 'cos I wasn't there.

I other news, I WILL play for LD3's team next week finally.

I'm also hoping to make a come back next week first time I'd have played football since January, i'm predicting an epicly poor performance by me.

Don't worry, we've got a shit team next week, we beat them 6-0 earlier in the season.
dandannieldanok Posted 22 March 2010 Posted 22 March 2010 3-0 win for us today, can't say much else, 'cos I wasn't there. Just about a fair scoreline really although we were so frustrated with Pedro who just reffed like a complete arsehole. The first goal was a disaster on our part, gifted it on a plate. Had we not done that we may have survived until half-time, but oh well we were never going to get a result. Just very glad I wasn't in goal.
Bert Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Won 4-0. Was very easy today. Had our 2 main defenders away too. Knocked the ball around rather well and even though the team sat 5 behind the ball, they had no answer to us. Scored with two pretty decent efforts myself too.
filbertway Posted 28 March 2010 Posted 28 March 2010 Good to be back in the fold, even if it was painful. Nice to see T.Moore bag a goal
dandannieldanok Posted 29 March 2010 Posted 29 March 2010 Won 1-0, really good win against a team that's started the season well. Next week will be horrible though, playing joint top in the division and I'm standing in for our goalkeeper.
Mikey Posted 5 April 2010 Posted 5 April 2010 Beat top of the table 3-0 to make it 4 games won in a row, scoring 15, conceding 0.
Richard Posted 9 April 2010 Posted 9 April 2010 Sorry but can't be bothered to go through 47 pages. So is anybody else playing in the Measham 5-a side Tuesday night league and if so, for what team?
