Bert Posted 8 August 2010 Posted 8 August 2010 Going in to today's game we were 2 points behind the team at the top with 3 to play. Today was the big day, and we won 4-1. We're now level on points, albeit behind on goal difference with 2 to play. We've got the easier run in too, so hopefully we'll bag the title again.
DB11 Posted 8 August 2010 Posted 8 August 2010 I'm awesome in goal Ah well I'm not in goal next season at least it was ok the few games I played
Mikey Posted 8 August 2010 Posted 8 August 2010 We won 5-2, I got 2. Promoted in the to the top league again now.

Yea you've definitely got the easier run in, although we won't lie down next week, you'll beat us but hopefully we can keep it respectable.
Manwell Pablo Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 Google Translate.... "You are too old and too sh*t" Not at all I have no idea how good you are mate, some people in their 40's do a job in those leagues. Dunno how I have no intention of being fit enough to chase quality footballers at the age of 40, It's hard enough at 26.
Sly Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 Got a winning start to the season ..... with a 4-2 win over the team with no name.
Bert Posted 15 August 2010 Posted 15 August 2010 Had a 5-0 win today due to a no-show. The friendly we played we won 7-0. The team we were joint top with drew 0-0, so now everything's in our hands, all we need to do is win next week.
lildave3 Posted 16 August 2010 Posted 16 August 2010 Got a winning start to the season ..... with a 4-2 win over the team with no name. Boooooo! We now have Novices, Barnes and Grampus in the next 3 weeks. Straight down me thinks!
Sly Posted 16 August 2010 Posted 16 August 2010 Boooooo! We now have Novices, Barnes and Grampus in the next 3 weeks. Straight down me thinks! We handed you an early lead as well!! Lovely, well taken goal by the way. I also loved the reaction from you once it went in!! To be honest, I only had two chances in the game and your keeper saved both. You'll find Barnes give you pleanty of time on the ball. Grampus are the opposite and really in your face, Novices are hit and miss, we've beaten them 3 of the 4 games we've played them since we've been a Prem side. It really depends on who turns up for which team on each day!!

David Guiza Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Played 2, won 2. Scored 8, conceeded 0. Good start to the season so far and hopefully we can continue it.

Mikey Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 Forgot to say, we drew 1-1 last Sunday with Novices. LD3 scored.

lildave3 Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 Shocking, will have to wind Warren up. We should have won too, their keeper made some pretty snazzy saves. We were good.
Father Ted Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Anybody got a team with leisure leagues? What's the service, etc. like?
dandannieldanok Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Anybody got a team with leisure leagues? What's the service, etc. like? I play in a couple of teams with leisure leagues (don't run the teams myself though). Service is good and generally well organised, never really had any problems, but quite expensive.
filbertway Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 Lost 3-0. Drat. Me and chambers miss one game and it's normal service resumed! Looking forward to my last appearance on sunday before transfering on a free to hallam.

No offence to Dan but he clearly does not know what he is talking about. Have ran two teams in Leisure Leagues, one I had to fold due to their ridiculous rules. They A) Frequently get scores wrong on their website B) Have poor referees and the turn over of refs is shocking, and they all play different rules C) Deal with disicplianry issues very poorly, normally just banning everyone involved to save face. D) Make you play and pay their ridiculous fee's for terrible friendly games when your opponents don't show up E) Make you pay unless 7 days notice is given before a fixture, who knows 7 days in advance if their 5 a side team will struggle the week after. F) Website is littered with the kind of spelling and grammar mistakes that would make even me cringe G) Have twice in the last season been asked to play an outdoor game with an indoor Cyclone as there were no more balls available H) They cram as many teams in as possible sometimes leading to 14 teams playing in one division leading to stupid gulfs in class, having played for top teams and teams that struggle if your're winning 15-0 or losing 15-0 it aint really much fun. I) As mentioned $18 is is 40% hike up on what I used to pay J) Guest player rule is a joke, and is poorly upheld by Refs some people play for about 7 teams a season illegally.
lildave3 Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 All of what Manny said + my name is not Ben fucking Shephard. If Leisure Leagues take over, prepare to have your name spelled wrong.
