At least you lot haven't had the pleasure of the Scarecrow who is now reffing down at Hood Park on Sunday night.

Starts games by kicking the ball back to goalkeepers himselft, OHH is eight and a half foot. Never gives FK's.

Worse of all he threatned to give a penalty against me if another shot him me while I was on the bench.

90mph and 10 yards mate, I do not have the reactions of a cat.

Is he called Scarecrow due to the fact he's static for most of the match or is he a scruff c**t?

It's because he looks like the Scarecrow off Batman begins right down to the rings round his eyes.

(It's what I call him it is yet to catch on lol)

Started my league tonight, my team (u/16s) beat u/18s 5-3, with a hat-trick from yours truly. And I'm a defender. Solid.

Indoor Milan are now in the Indoor league, lol

Already regretting putting another team in, mainly as it’s a lot earlier than I expected and things aren’t really in the rosey state they were when I applied 6 weeks ago.

One of the lads playing for us has since started to play for Magenrs and although he has said he will play for us too that was based on it going into two divisions, which it may not do now due to the amount of teams pulling out…..another is about as reliable as popsicle fire guard, actually about three of them are, and one of my main transfer swoops fell through…and how many decent players I will actually be able to get most weeks remains to be seen.

We’ll see how it goes though, we’ll win 2 lose 2 of the first 4 anyway if we can get any 5 which is already better than playing for Double XL for any more! Hopefully it’ll go into two divisions and we won’t suffer too much if we do turn out to be not that great. Either way this is my last indoor club can’t be doing with it!

Who's that?

I don't mind helping you out if you are struggling players wise and it doesn't clash with my other games. I think I'll be playing for Dynamo next season if their GK retires.

Felly orginally said he'd play after the incident at Dyanmo and was really up for it, unfortuantly took us so long to get in he has now decided to start playing for Magners, which I knew would happen given he plays for Ibstock United. Says he would still play but text him yesterday and no reply.

Looking good.

Ford first game as well, fandabbydozzy.

Good luck with that ..... as ford aren't exactly a bad side. I'd be interested in seeing some of the Ashby teams at the National Tournament as based on the standard we saw, I think a team like Ford would be in with a chance of winning it!

Looking to join a 6 a side league on Mondays in Leicester.

Had a quick look online and could only find Pitch Invasion and Champion Soccer. Any of you in those leagues? What are they like? Any other leagues you'd recommend me look into?

Ta!

Another solid win for us tonight. Sweet as a nut next. I thought you Sweet as a Nut lads played well tonight against Grampus.

On another thing? Why don't Sweet as a Nut and Team with no name just combine??

'Cos then we'd have 2 subs, and we don't want subs.

Tbh, it's looking more and more likely every week. Twnn is getting a bit depressing.

What was the final score tonight against Novices?

5/6 - 0?

God knows, as LD3 says its getting depressing now, not even fun.

Playing for Sweet as a Nut, like I have done for the past 4 weeks is still good though, partly as I get to play for free, and they don't get battered every week. :D

We won 6-0.

Scored 3, set up 1, hit the post twice and the bar once. If it wasn't for their keeper we would've broke the 12-0 record (Which is ours) down there.

Just to show the difference in standard between your league Bert and ours at the Hermitage, our biggest win is 21-0, followed by a 14-0 win. I'm takign it you lads are top of your league as always? It's bve nice to play against you lads at the national tournament this time around.

Well we got bashed by Ford last night but hopefully should be in for a win next week against a new team who are just garbage, like most of the new teams they get down there. YSGPT Wednesday as well and their best player is playing for us so that should be straight forward.

Team turnover at Ashby seems to be crazilly high.

We're currently 3rd. Our team went on a stag do a few weekends back, and one of the lads mates said he'd get a team to cover us, totally forgot and we had a 5-0 against us! we'd have easily beat the team we were supposed to have been playing as well. Other than that we've not conceded this season yet. Just keep going from strength to strength. Yeah it'd be good to play your team, you looked pretty handy at the nationals. Our only disadvantage when it's the nationals is pitch size, we play half a full size, the pitches at the nationals are half the size of that. Takes some getting used to.

Yeah, we found that a bit of a pain also.

All the decent players in the area currently play in Ashby or Coalville or are just fed up with LL, they only advertise in pubs and kebab shops, so a team joins, gets spanked 22-0 by a midtable side, thinks F8ck this and drops out. New team every week near enough!

We actually played a team that looked like they owned Kebab shops. They put them in the top League and we beat them 6 / 7 - 0, they dropped out, never to be seen again. Everyone else only got a 5-0 win as they couldn't fill the slot for the rest of the season. It just destorts the G/d and makes a mokery of the league.

The current ref, bless him has made some interesting calls in games of late. Coupled with the fact they only have 2 balls per pitch, which are generally or poor standard and not pumped full of air, the crazy pricing, shoddy incorrect website, being priced full wack for a cancelled game ..... is it no wonder no one wants to play in LL?!?

I'd encourage you to write to Rob Barthomlew or Shaun Holyland mate. We've done it in Ashby and there is some action being taken and I think a meeting has been set up where we stand a chance of getting the Ashby Leagues back to normal.

If that happens would imagine your league will empty out pretty quick lol.

What I was told was either Leisure Leagues or no league at Coalville due to them losing money ...... I figured they couldn't be arsed!
