Orient game, were we really outplayed?

According to a Leyton Orient fanzine editor, Orient dominated about "70 per cent of the game" on Saturday (see below link)

Is this fair? (I did not make it to Saturday's game)

Overall, most stats show they had the majority of possession.

They did have a lot of the ball and did play quite well. I always thought we looked more dangerous than them though. Just my tuppence worth.

They had their period of domination, not 70% and scored once we had ours and scored 3 times it's that simple :dunno:

I don't think we were outplayed. Orient played well and had a lot of posession, but we were always dangerous on the break and hit the bar twice as well as the three goals.

Local media always tend to be biased, we got the points, so feck them!!

50/50.

We were on top for the first half hour and last 15 mins.

The difference is that when Orient were on top they passed the ball round and made some nice runs, but they never really threatened. They seemed to lack that final spark.

When we were on top we looked a different class.

I thought they threatened but couldn't score which we've seen from a few teams in this league already.

so, more or less what we should have expected, seeing as they were at home, playing their proverbial 'cup final' and looking to bounce back from a thumping.

i would say it was a fair shout to be honest, however he had better believe it as we took the 3 points because we have much more class in the side for when it mattered!

your going to get games like this, maybe didnt play as well as we could of,3 points is what counts for us

look at last week with those dirty fooking cockneys, they took all 3

it certainly happened to us a few times in the past when we have deserved much more

Was thinking the very same thing. It's nice to be on the winning side for a change. How many times over the last few seasons have we come away with nothing after putting in a credible performance ourselves? Nothing went right for us last season so it's nice to get a little luck during this campaign.

There were patches all through the Orient game when they applied a little too much pressure than we would have liked but overall, I don't think we were outplayed. As stated before, may be the report was a little biased to the home team.

Part of having what it takes to win the league/do well is being able to win matches when you might actually be second best on the day. Something we could never do last season, and its good to see we're doing it now.
