maddog Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 First away League defeat of the season i'm afraid. Lets hope i'm proved wrong
lavrentis Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 2-0 Win Come on!! be optimistic. We're fooking top of the league.
Acetripper Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 This game is massive for us! If we win our season will be kick-started by beating two teams who were at the top of League One when we played them. So as a 'Terrier' I have to say we'll win and admit I don't care what the score is as long as its 3pts. That said, I'll probably go for the longest odds I can get at the Stadium bookies. Something like 4-0 with Dickinson scoring first. 125-1 ish? AceT
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 I fancy big Steve getting on the scoresheet 2-1, Dyer and Howard
Lost4words Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 Not sure... went Huddersfield pre-season to watch them against Arsenal (reserves mainly) and they did alright. Having said that 2 or 3-0 should still be good.
morris1234 Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 i said win, but they do have a good squad and can be dangerous. just played oldham so they will be high on confidence! i think we could nick it though. i really want fryatt to score though, because i think once he does then he will go on a run, he justs needs a bit more confidence as even though were winning as a striker, no matter how little or how hard you work, scoring is your game and when you dont then its a bugger c'mon citeh, lets prove them wrong. a smashing 5-1 win please!
Munzie Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 I'm confident of a City win. Does anyone know the odds for a Tunchev hat-trick?
Uncle Albert Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 Not to sure to be honest. Hopefully we go out and cream them 3-0 but I can see it being 2-1. Howard brace. Want Oakley to score though. So do Berty and Tommeh if he is 18/1 again.
dandannieldanok Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 Draw for me, if we take our chances though it could be a comfortable win, first goal will be crucial as it usually is in football.
Raj Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 Need to win.Not cos of momentum, staying top of the League and all that...but cos i know a few Huddo fans wo'll give me alot of shit if we dont(It didnt help that all week ive been taunting them about us being the biggest club ever to have gone to their ground!!!!)
Daggers Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 History says we're likely to lose Huddersfield have turned a corner in their fortunes, they like to attack and can look towards a bumper crowd - if we don't come out strongly and keep the tempo up for the whole match then they will turn us over...On the back of our inability to do just that I reckon we are going to drop points tomorrow.

Agreed - the home side are likely to treat the game like a cup final and rouse the crowd accordingly, whereas some of our players will try and wing it like in recent games. 2-1 Huddersfield methinks..
EXILEDFOX Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 I sense a repeat of West Brom away last year ......
Acetripper Posted 4 October 2008 Posted 4 October 2008 Setting off in half an hour! Call at the local for 'a glass' to settle my stomach then down to the train station and on to Dewsbury station bar for a 'swift sherbert' while I wait for a faster train over to Hudders. Good beer in the station bar - Taylor's Landlord perhaps! Then forward to the station bar at Hudders to say hello to some mates from Liverpool. Then on to meet up with four Leicester mates in 'The Rat' on Church Hill. Up to the stadium about 2.30pm for another swifty before kick-off. Probably repeat that little lot in reverse after the game. Either way, I'll try to post an objective report this evening, win lose or draw if and I can see straight! Regards AceT
Thracian Posted 4 October 2008 Posted 4 October 2008 It won't be a calamity if we come back with a draw but I'll show faith by saying 2-1 to City. Ultra's right in that they'll be wound right up for this one but I have every faith in City's closing down and in their ability to score goals. If Huddersfield believe they can afford to attack us in numbers without being walloped on the break then they'll be as brave as they are foolhardy but they'll well know what we're capable of going forward, even on our travels and might be wise to show us some respect. Especially considering they've not got the tightest defence or the soundest record.
