Alexikokopops Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Bah, I can't make it to Tuesday night games
SamL Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Blimey, it's on a match day for once. Can't say I'm overly enthused by it though, I doubt I'll actually buy anything.
Corky Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Bah, I can't make it to Tuesday night games Ditto
Nosowicz Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Does this count as one of the Monthly Offers to season ticket holders? I have still not heard from anyone who knows what offers Season Ticket Holders have been given for their monthly vouchers and after 5 months this is now on the verge of breaking the trades description act for the sale of season tickets as not providing the services advertised to customer and therefore paid for. Any ideas anyone?

Any ideas anyone? Have a look in this thread. After first claiming that no offers have been made the club then backtracked and said they'd done the following offers: June - nothingJuly - £2 discount on Adult tickets for Season Ticket Holders the pre-season game v Birmingham August - £5 discount on Adult tickets for Season Ticket Holders for the Carling Cup game v Stockport Sept - Double Discount weekend for Season Ticket Holders at the City Megastore - £5 discount on Adult Tickets for Season Ticket Holders for the JPT game v Lincoln Oct - Double Discount weekend for Season Ticket Holders at the City Megastore. They still haven't actually referred to anything as a monthly offer though.
Simi Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Wow, a benefit that results in money going back into the club, who'd of thought it?
Alexikokopops Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Wow, a benefit that results in money going back into the club, who'd of thought it? To be honest I wasn't expecting much else when I saw the vouchers at the beginning of season, it's not like they're going to give away free stuff to thousands of people every month. What's annoyed me though is that they clearly haven't thought it through, made a complete hash of it and then tried to pass off benefits that you get at any club for season ticket holders as NEW AND EXCITING.
Asha Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 They were doing this Saturday as well. 20% for all fans travelling to Oldham.
Raj Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Bah, I can't make it to Tuesday night games Ditto Bloody double ditto! Bloody late shift and i cant get a shift change! I hate missing home bloody games. bloody bloody bastard! P.S too many fcuking moaners on this forum. just watching a team who dont get thrashed regularly is a monthly bloody benefit for me!!!!
Alexikokopops Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Bloody double ditto! Bloody late shift and i cant get a shift change! I hate missing home bloody games. bloody bloody bastard! I knew I was unlikely to be able to make it to Tuesday night games at the beginning of teh season. What I didn't know is that the club would be needlessly postponing Saturday home games for international callups and replaying them on a Tuesday night

What I didn't know is that the club would be needlessly postponing Saturday home games for international callups and replaying them on a Tuesday night THAT is even more annoying as i think im on the wrong shift for the Yeovil re arranged game too!!! Blame the manager for that decision. Pearson OUT!!!
Guest Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Bah, I can't make it to Tuesday night games Ditto Bloody double ditto! Just out of interest, what advice can you give to someone not used to missing games? At the moment, the thought reduces me to tears. NB. There is no sarcasm at all in this post.

There is no sarcasm at all in this post. It really is frustrating. I know that we will have midweek fixtures, it's part of the season, what's frustrating is the re-arranged ones. At times I dont mind following it via other means, but I'd rather be there. Nothing beats it. I suppose you are in a routine of going to absolutely every match, so therefore it will hit you more when you do miss one. I say grin and bear it. What was the last one you missed (home and away)?
JakeShingler Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 They were doing this Saturday as well.20% for all fans travelling to Oldham. Yeh if you had that leaflet thing.

As you know im not as hardcore as you but even the thought of missing Walsall at home has been pissing me off since no one at my work will swap shifts with me(wan kers!) The only heartwarming thing is i actually hope its a REALLY shite boring game, its pissing it down and is freezing cold and we win 1-0 with one of the shittiest goals ever!!!! Having said that.....it will probabably be a 5-3 goalfest with sendings off galore and crowd violence( i DO NOT condone any sort of violence!!!!)

I think the West Standers will get riled up When is your little girl going to get her first taste of Leicester City and our bowl?

But im not cruel enough to inflict Leicester City FC matches to her just yet!!!!

Another original idea for STH. I'm so excited - I just can't hide it.
Daggers Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 It's good. It's the level of discount we used to have brought back for a one-match special which I can't get to or go online for... Woopee****ingdoo.

There is no sarcasm at all in this post. When Ive gone a long time without missing a game (true its months rather than years like you), it's the thought of not being there that gets you. As soon as the game kicks off though, im usually ok with the fact Im not there and just either tune into the radio or settle down in front of Sky Sports news. Im closing in on a year without missing a game though

ALL...the whole of (used in referring to quantity, extent, or duration): all the cake; all the way; all year. If it has an *...it is NOT FCUKING ALL!! apologies..rant over
Corky Posted 21 October 2008 Posted 21 October 2008 Cheers. I really am quite pathetic and sad really. No you aren't. You've been in a routine that you've stuck to and I think, on the whole, enjoyed, so it's natural that you will be disappointed when that routine/sequence is broken. And you didn't answer my question

You've been in a routine that you've stuck to and I think, on the whole, enjoyed, so it's natural that you will be disappointed when that routine/sequence is broken. And you didn't answer my question Last home game was some time in 1992/3 - can't actually remember the game. Last away game was that Millwall game. Up until the Wednesday before, we had 3 methods of getting to the game. A day later, every single one was gone. As it turned out, I had a major asthma attack the day before the game. I refused to go to hospital for fear they would admit me, as I was still planning to go down to the Den and somehow get in. Despite being unable to walk more than a couple of hundred feet at a time, Carl still had to lock me in the house on the day of the game. I did not handle it well at all. Before that, the last game I missed was the Man City cup game up at Maine Road, which we won (Mark Robins the scorer). This was because my mean boss wanted assert his authority by refusing my request for holiday that afternoon. Needless to say, he never did it again.
