After four years of student scrounging it's my first proper payday on Friday. Then I can finally start calling all students tax dodging scum. Coke and hookers are on me!

You certainly trust your employers more than me.

I know the ball park figure of what I should get. It's all about 'net' - anyone who cares about 'gross' is an idiot.

Tax and NI is an arse but it has to be paid. I just ignore it and look at what I do get.

If I ever want a top up, money wise, I sell my body at an hourly rate to Tabou.

1) Not if your self employed.:angry:

2) Currently I'm potless. So I can offer a discount. Roll forward TPH, Shingler, Smuts...

ALWAYS check your payslip...

I often found massive "mistakes"in the past, particularly when relating to part-time jobs. The mistakes were in the count of hours worked and rate applied; sometimes BOTH errors in the same payslip!!! And once for 6 months in a row, without correction, in spite of being reported immediately each month. Looking back, I should have sued them.

Now that I am self-employed, I have graduated to having people not paying my invoices or paying them months later than promised.

You should call my friend 'Harry The Bastard'. He specialises in this niche.

Just one of the great snags to being self-employed. :(

One time when I was working as a bin man I did a couple of hours overtime and they put the rate in as £75 an hour instead of £7.50. I didn't correct that one

In my first job we had a finger scan that clocked us in and out. I forgot to scan out one night i rememberd a bout 5 hours later so i headed back to work to scan off and got myself an extra 5 hours pay at an overtime rate
