Simi Posted 26 October 2008 Posted 26 October 2008 I feel the bubble could be about to burst, but who knows.
Father Ted Posted 26 October 2008 Posted 26 October 2008 Hope they beat their title rivals on Wednesday. They'll walk it
Joe. Posted 26 October 2008 Posted 26 October 2008 I think they'll finish mid-table following nine defeats from their last ten games, get knocked out of an important club competition by lower league opposition, duly get relegated the next season, hate Phil Brown for life, and then begin a steady decline.
Finnegan Posted 26 October 2008 Posted 26 October 2008 I think they'll finish mid-table following nine defeats from their last ten games, get knocked out of an important club competition by lower league opposition, duly get relegated the next season, hate Phil Brown for life, and then begin a steady decline. Surely not. That's the sort of thing that'd only happen in a soap.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 26 October 2008 Posted 26 October 2008 Good on them would be nice to see them finish top 6 but can't see it happening
NFFC Chris Posted 26 October 2008 Posted 26 October 2008 I think they'll finish mid-table following nine defeats from their last ten games, get knocked out of an important club competition by lower league opposition, duly get relegated the next season, hate Phil Brown for life, and then begin a steady decline. No that's the Pompey script you were looking at there
Hullfox Posted 27 October 2008 Posted 27 October 2008 Huge fanbase, positive fans, a sound chairman and manager, enthusiastic players. I think they're going to establish themselves as a Premier League side. Disagree. They have a huge potential fanbase, many of whom have swapped their Man Utd, Liverpool, Leeds etc shirts following the recent reversal of fortunes. The fans are not positive. They are fine at the moment but they were calling for Browns head on a plate as one the season before last, they absolutely hated him. The chairman does seem the right sort of bloke but do not overestimate the enthusiasm of the players. There are players there now just seeing out their improved wages as a result of an unforeseen promotion and there are also rumblings of unhappiness in the camp in other areas of the running of the club. All is spectacularly rosy in achievement terms and fair play to them for that but I'm with Ched in thinking the bubble may just burst sooner rather than later. Enjoy the ride while it lasts I say.
Uncle Albert Posted 27 October 2008 Posted 27 October 2008 Unfortunetly Hull are going to experience what the Premier League is really like in their next two games. Chelsea will hammer them and away at Yanited. Poor sods.
Raj Posted 27 October 2008 Posted 27 October 2008 Unfortunetly Hull are going to experience what the Premier League is really like in their next two games. Chelsea will hammer them and away at Yanited. Poor sods. What like Arsenal,Wham,Spurs were supposed to!!! Good luck to the fcukers. Be funny if they actually stayed in the Top half at the end of the season!!!
Tilley Posted 4 May 2009 Author Posted 4 May 2009 Good luck to Hull but it wont last. & how right you were... 1-0 down at Aston Villa & have won one in I don't know how many games. Luckily for them, 'Boro & Newcastle are even shitter at the minute.
Joe. Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Does nobody want to stay up this season? Like you say Dom, luckily for Hull, Middlesbrough and Newcastle are equally poor at the minute.
Fosse Boy Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 I hope they stay up.Quite like them. I do too. They help to spread the geographical distribution of top flight clubs out somewhat. That, and I really want Newcastle to go down so we play them next season. :chant: "You're getting mauled by the Tigers!" :chant:
Samilktray Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 The liked the fact they and Stoke came up this season, meaning there were a few newcomers to the league. Next season It'll end up being Wolves, Brum and somebody like Reading or Sheff Yoo, which will just be hella lame.
Tilley Posted 4 May 2009 Author Posted 4 May 2009 Birmingham are the definition of "yo-yo team" - saying that, I think they have more chance of styaing up than Wolves.
Blue Foxes Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Can't see Hull getting any wins in the last few games of the season, think they might have to rely on the teams bellow to not pick up points. I think they'll just stay up this season and i'd like them to because it's nice to see the teams in the leagues changing instead of yo-yoing (plus i'd like to play Newcastle next year ), but it looks like they'll have alot of hard work to do next season if they do stay up.
Blue Foxes Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 Do people think that Hull's sucess at the start of the season was because of confidence or because of a couple of lucky 1-0 win?
dandannieldanok Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 I used to like them until Phil Brown opened his mouth.
Salieri Posted 4 May 2009 Posted 4 May 2009 I hope Hull stay up and am even glad Stoke are staying up. Why? Because it gives me hope that if and when we go up to the Premier League then it is still possible to bridge the gap and compete.
Tilley Posted 4 May 2009 Author Posted 4 May 2009 Saturday - Hull vs. Stoke Monday - Newcastle s. Middlesborough HUGE
