AjcW Posted 4 November 2009 Posted 4 November 2009 Fuck yeah!Note - (Team America, i'm not agreeing with you) Yes I got that.
Asha Posted 5 November 2009 Posted 5 November 2009 Fuck yeah!Note - (Team America, i'm not agreeing with you) I thought that film was shit. Apart from where those puppets start having sex, that was epic, although probably the saddest wank in my life.
isaidno Posted 5 November 2009 Posted 5 November 2009 Is it not three?Ferrari, Lotus and McLaren? Lotus aren't a manufacturer. They are Lite-speed, a team from Norfolk who bought the rights to the Lotus name. Cosworth need to produce a good engine next season or it could be really poor.

Legend_in_blue Posted 5 November 2009 Posted 5 November 2009 Despite the changes, it'll still be a procession and, ultimately, a bore. Unless it rains. Bring back some controversy. It makes it interestin'. Bring back Schumacher! Oh, and Jean Todt is a legend.
lildave3 Posted 6 November 2009 Posted 6 November 2009 Good to see I won the hotly contested 6 way Facebook Fantasy F1 League !

isaidno Posted 13 November 2009 Posted 13 November 2009 Button closes in on McLaren move Jenson Button has visited the McLaren headquarters in Woking as doubts continue over who the world champion will be driving for next season.Button and manager Richard Goddard were given a tour by McLaren chief Martin Whitmarsh, the Guardian reported. Button, 29, took a pay cut to drive for the new Brawn team after Honda quit F1 last year, but he is now stalling over an improved offer. If Button joined McLaren, he would partner 2008 champion Lewis Hamilton.

Crazy if that happens, part of me thinks he should stay at brawn but then again it's a step up and he thoroughly deserves it.
Wycombe Fox Posted 18 November 2009 Posted 18 November 2009 I'm going to have a little wager on him winning it again next year - in a McLaren. Well I got the McLaren bit right (smug! ) Will have his work cut out to beat Hamilton though. Should be an interesting season - McLaren to win the Constructor's Title and a 1-2 in the Driver's Championship. What next for Raikkonen?

Wycombe Fox Posted 18 November 2009 Posted 18 November 2009 Two battles at McLaren next year - Jenson v Lewis and John v Anthony!
dandannieldanok Posted 18 November 2009 Posted 18 November 2009 Really excited about this now, should be a great season for McLaren.
hairy Posted 18 November 2009 Posted 18 November 2009 You really cant look at next season and say which manufacturers are even going to figure yet. Look at Brawn and Red Bull this season and the nonevent that was Ferrari. Lets just hope from a British point that McLaren have a car ready for the beginning of the season.

Agreed, although the inside word is that both McLaren and Ferrari are going to be back at the top next season. We could see a reflection of this season, where the teams fighting it out for the championship previously come into the new season underprepared, which would be bad news for Brawn and Red Bull. Just a theory though.

isaidno Posted 28 November 2009 Posted 28 November 2009 Canadian GP back on F1 schedule The Canadian Grand Prix is set to return to the Formula 1 calendar next season after a major financial deal was struck to keep the event in Montreal. The race was dropped for 2009 due to a dispute between local authorities and F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone over funding. But the Canadian government, Quebec and Montreal's tourism board will put up annual investment of £8.5million over the next five years to keep the race. The 2010 Grand Prix has now been provisionally pencilled in for 13 June. Formula One Management had originally reinstated the event in September for next year, subject to negotiations. And the city's Mayor, Gerald Tremblay, has welcomed the new agreement which will keep the race. "The return of Formula 1 to Montreal attests to our sustained efforts and determination," he said. "This win-win deal falls in line with the terms we set and the taxpayer's ability to pay and will create stability for the next five years. "I am very pleased that our metropolis is bringing back this crucial stage in the Formula 1 series for fans from around the world and an outstanding opportunity in terms of the event's international reach." Quebec's finance minister Raymond Bachand added: "All three levels of government have worked together tirelessly over the past few months to bring the grand prix back to Montreal, while acting in a financially responsible manner. "With this agreement in hand, I am delighted that our efforts have finally succeeded." Montreal's Minister of Tourism Nicole Menard added: "The Grand Prix of Canada has more impact on the tourist industry than any other sports event in Canada. "Of the 300,000 spectators at the competition, 25 per cent come from outside Quebec." The race has been part of the F1 World Championship since 1967 and since 1982 had been held at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. Two years ago, Lewis Hamilton won his maiden F1 victory at the venue in only his sixth race, while last year Robert Kubica also clinched his first F1 win in Montreal.
Wycombe Fox Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 Silverstone agrees 17 year deal to host British Grand Prix http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport...one/8397777.stm
isaidno Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 I've got the details today for the 2010 Canadian GP , so should be going there and Silverstone.
dandannieldanok Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 Great news, really glad the British GP is staying at Silverstone. Donington simply isn't a big enough venue for modern Formula 1, it was doomed to fail from the first proposals but fair play for having a go at it.
