Simmo86 Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 Got 1 pair of Vans at the mo. Slightly skinny in the trainer department!
lavrentis Posted 1 May 2013 Author Posted 1 May 2013 If anyone wants a free pair of Vans there are some caught on a telephone wire hanging above Grasmere Street
promised land Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 A bit of a trainer collector here, I do wear them, eventually although the four pairs of Trimm Trabs and two pairs of Munchens might never get worn. All genuine, no fakes and none from eBay or the likes. Usually JD Sports, Footlocker and Schuh. JD in bigger cities like Manchester have a far greater range. Also if you see some on their site, the shop in Leicester will order them in if they haven't got them in stock.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 Just given the Wellgosh website a good eyeball, I'm a fan ofthe Adidas primeknits, the same as the numbered ones that they did for the Olympics, but in blue. Didn't have my size though
kingfox Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 If anyone wants a free pair of Vans there are some caught on a telephone wire hanging above Grasmere Street Walked that way today, they have been there for a while

I'm gonna sound like a bit of a dick here but it just looks like some of JD Sports' stock. What's so special about them? Can't say I understand that one bit
lavrentis Posted 1 May 2013 Author Posted 1 May 2013 Walked that way today, they have been there for a while True, at least since September
rico Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 I'm gonna sound like a bit of a dick here but it just looks like some of JD Sports' stock. What's so special about them? Can't say I understand that one bit Some are iconic styles from the 80's
promised land Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 I'm gonna sound like a bit of a dick here but it just looks like some of JD Sports' stock. What's so special about them? Can't say I understand that one bit Go and try and find a pair of Trimm Trabs or Munchens, most of the pairs you see there are limited or discontinued, some were never in stores like the Campus ST's (3rd row back, 2nd in from right) or the red Chicago Bulls Soups ( front row far left). You can design your own Adidas on their site but a pair are around £100 for soups.
promised land Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 promised land you're like Balotelli! Around 8 years of collecting in that lot. All receipts are still in the boxes as well as still tagged as you can see, I just can't ever see myself wearing the Trimms or Munchens. The Puma G. Vilas are quite special too! Custard was for a car forum.

Ah right, fair dues, I just don't really know what I'm looking at I almost instantly get it though now you've said that. I've been looking for some old football boots this week but Adidas seem discontinue the Predator line every year. Either impossible or too expensive to get hold of a pair of these from a few years back in the right size.
promised land Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 Yep two pairs of Air Force 1's. One Puma G Vilas, one Nike Mercurial just because I really like them in the World Cup! 2 pairs of Campus, 2 Munchens, 4 Trimm Trabs 4 Superstars, A couple of Decades, Cup 68, 2 pairs of Gazelles, Forest Hills in blue suede. Forgot the rest without digging them out. Custard was for Pistonheads, to verify anything on there you need a tub of Birds in the picture.

Can't say I understand that one bit Have to say I agree. Doesn't matter how rare they are really. Seems a Buzzare thing to collect trainers that all look very similar. Consumer fetishism at its best. The sports companies are pissing themselves at this sort of thing.

Didn't have my size though http://www.urbanindustry.co.uk/product/adidas-adizero-primeknit-shoes-beijing-edition-prime-blue.asp Cheaper and a bigger variety of sizes. If these are the ones you're talking about, thank me later

I'm not really into Adidas, mainly just Jordans/Nikes.
I am Rod Hull Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 Is that a can of custard in the middle of all that? Thats not just any can of custard, thats a one off 1994 Antony Worall Thompson endorsed limited addition can of custard....

JonnyBoy Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 Nike Air Jordan 4 retro fire red are the ones, will set you back £180 though, i bought some the other week
promised land Posted 1 May 2013 Posted 1 May 2013 Thought so. I'm not really into Adidas, mainly just Jordans/Nikes. I had Nike as a kid and constantly check to see if the ones I had back then have been rereleased. Grey Nike Destiny's, I lived in them day and night. I do like Air Force ones though, the Max's don't do it for me though. The Adidas ones from the Olympics to the above post, if they're what the games makers wore then it's the Adidas Fluids you want although the grey and red ones they issued aren't availiable to buy unless you get some worn ones from the bay! Fluids are hard to find in the UK in any colour, mainly an American trainer as its not an Originals line.
