Haven't spotted anyone point out that Wolves bid 900k for Fryatt 18 months ago. McCarthy obviously rated him then and this season will have only strengthened that opinion.

yes and our situation is that much weakened :(

it looks pretty bad to me

Sorry, where has this story come from? I find it staggering that a rumour with no source has generated 50 replies!

Knowitall - he is a source who every time posts stuff is true.

He told us about Powell before it happened.

anyone on trial he lets us know, just look back through his topics.....

Mark Davies good news and I would be surprised if Fyatt went to Wolves. More likely to be Mattock but he should stay on for more first team action at City. Perhaps this is only the first of many clubs to want Fryatt. If we want to keep him now is the time to offer him a new deal that he can't refuse.

I wish someone would explain to me why we would want to sell Fryatt, cos there is no logic on this earth that could justify him leaving

We don't but if he don't sign a contact before the start of jan, he can listen to offers from other clubs with a view to signing in July.

Not domestically.

He can't actually sign anything anyway.

I'm pretty sure he can start talking to other clubs or hearing what they are going to offer, but he can't sign anything.......

No you are not allowed to sign a pre-contract agreement with any club from the same country.

If so, kudos for typing... must be difficult with those powerful paws/claws.

the problem with this thread is that most people are assuming that because fryatt hasn't signed a new deal he WANTS to go.

from what MM has said and what knowitall said 'fryatt loves it here', that doesn't make much sense.

this rumour is only that wolves questioned a player's status, no one has made an offer - it's probably more along the lines of "hello, wolves here, what's happening with fryatt? well, just to let you know, if he doesn't sign for you we are interested"

i'm sure it happens a million times.

why don't you just wait and see what happens - the fact that people are getting so concerned that fryat hasn't signed is crazy, given his form, given the possible (very) different scenarios we are facing next year, of course there are going to be negotiation issues.

personally, i still put my money on the stalling being due to clauses, not salary, fryatt will want an opt-out if we don't go up....etc.

Bang on.

"I knew he would go Wolves, I knew it", after they've only apparently enquired about him, is a ludicrous thing to say.

Well to me if a player rejects two contract offers then they probably want to leave, if he really loved it here he would have accepted the first offer. :dunno:

Rumours from the tabloids.

Nothing concrete there to suggest he has rejected offers.

Players / Agents will always hold out for the best possible offer. If you were excelling at work (above all expectation) and were an integral part to the team, wouldn't you want to push for more money during your annual appraisal?

Let's hope those around Fryatt (if he is the target) keep reiterating that he could go on to be the stand out player of league one, the league's top scorer, part of a promotion winning side and a fans favourite if he stays and continues his good form.

I'm not convinced that a move to Wolves will do him any favours (as many of the recent posts have pointed out).

Staying at Leicester will see him command a start in the first team week in week out and allow him to ply his trade in the Championship next season if things keep going well (please God!)
