Paul Heaton announced a few dates in November but realistically I can’t make any unfortunately.

Only possible date is the Friday night in Sheffield but I’m in Cardiff for the Wales v Japan rugby the next day.

The following Tuesday in Nottingham but I’m already at the Motorpoint for the Manics, Bill Bailey and Enter Shakiri on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with different people on each night. Three nights is pushing it but four would finish me off.

Following Friday in Birmingham, but already committed to Enter Shakiri.

Real shame as it’s always a great gig.

Kraftwerk on Friday at the Albert Hall.

Should be superb musically not exactly sure what the crowd will be like.

2 hour set but Autobahn could take up 20 minutes!

Love Ben Kweller! listen to Sha Sha quite often

Was an all time gig tonight.

Absolutely brilliant and kinda melancholic, with his deceased teenage son being the inspiration for his new album.

Another artist so talented, you wonder why he never made it big, instead of playing 400 capacity venues like this one.

Quite a surreal evening though. Had a bit of a chat with Huw Stephens who is a lovely chap and then noticed Kweller's bassist is only McLovin (Christopher Mintz-Plasse).

A very good Monday night.

The Streets performing " a grand don't come for free" in Paris last night

absolutely superb

I missed the tichets sales date for the Leeds gig in July, looking at £150 plus online, so hoping they come down nearer the time

Nuts money that. I'm a big fan and they are great live but ain't made a good record in a few now.

Yeah, the old ones are the best.

Saw them at Piece Hall last year and several times before, not been to a gig at Kirkstall Abbey so will find a way. Face value was £66, so anything under £100 will do me

Elvis Costello and the Imposters at Birmingham Symphony Hall on Saturday. Hoping he revives the Spectacular Spinning Songbook.

Just back from the gig. The sound was muddy and the levels were all over the place. Elvis's voice was bad. The full band songs masked his vocals, but the acoustic section exposed his deficiencies. He was often well off pitch. He redeemed himself with some rousing favourites as a finale, but generally it was disappointing and saddening. The support was Squeeze's Chris Difford, who was brilliant and a real treat.

Oliver Tree at Kentish Town 02.

I have no idea why I like his stuff so much but he's off his nut, so it should be good fun lol

Day after England v Spain in Nations league too, so will make a weekend of it.

Just found out he's died in a helicopter crash in Brazil :(
