Just noticed that Wolf Alice have been named as Olivia Rodrigo's opening act for her North American tour here.

I'd love to go see that, but I know it'll irk a lot of WA fans lol

Reminds me a little of Paramore supporting Taylor Swift the other year.

Two 57 year olds will be there (in the seats!!!)

I usually park at the Train Station and walk it or do park and ride from South Clifton (walk down to the town hall square to get to the tram back to avoid the mob at the Lace Market stop) Although it’s all pay by app now it’s only just over £3 when I park after 6pm!

Probably wearing jeans, trainers, a t-shirt and sweatshirt. It’s been ridiculously hot in there the last couple of times I’ve been.

👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Will park at the train station.

Daft question..are you expected to sit in your seats throughout or is it like an away game and stand?

My last gig was chemical brothers and all standing.

I’m kind of expecting to stand but my mate surprised me yesterday by sending me of photo of his foot covered in a bandage after having a very minor op.

Great night, had to have an afternoon nap to recover.

Can’t remember when I’ve seen so many in the seats on their feet in there.

Saw Florence Road in Amsterdam on Thursday, hints of Paramore and a slight resemblance to Hayley too with Lily on vocals.

Impressive performance and Tolhuistuin is a nice little venue.

Was at the gig too. Thought performance wise they were awesome but I was a little disappointed with the set list. Missed a couple of tracks I was expecting and felt there were moments when the loops between tracks went on a little too long, which brought the energy levels down a touch at times. That said, I sometimes forget how old they are, so that was probably by design especially with the heat inside the arena which was something else. Great show regardless, and I don't think I've danced like that for over 20 years when I was a regular on the clubbing scene. Would definitely go and see them again given the chance.

Another one at The Prodigy in Nottingham on Friday. Brilliant night and gig, fully endorsed by my 9 year old side-kick for the evening.

So many bangers in the back catalogue it could never be dull going to see them.

Willy Mason Y Theatre Leicester

Wanted to see willy mason for a while but last time i heard he was teaching music. So i was surprised when i heard he was touring again and even more surprised he was playing in Leicester.

The y theatre was a venue I had not been to before.  It's Leicester's oldest theatre.  Only holds around 300.

Really enjoyed the gig.  His support was great too 'Nina Violet' she accompanied willy mason during part of his set..

It was the only gig I've been too where they had a list of everyone who'd purchased a ticket so you had to give your name before entry...bit odd.

Also it started early at 7.30pm then there was a intermission whilst willy and nina both manned the concession stand and signed posters, music, had selfies etc...They also did this after the concert was finished.  Guess its a good way to make the money needed to tour.

Back home at 10.15pm lovely.

Went Dot2Dot festival in Nottingham on Sunday. Would really recommend it as a City festival. It's also mirrored in Bristol the day before.

We saw 14 bands across the day in a load of different venues, ranging from little cafes and bars up to Rock City for the headliners. Tickets on sale for next eyar at £25 which is a bargain.

Lambrini Girls, Flooding, Murkage Dave and The Itch were my highlights.

It's great isn't it. Done it a few times in Bristol and just creates such a fantastic atmosphere across the city and at such a bargain price!

Anyway next gig for me is Ben Kweller a week on Monday. Should be lovely.

Went to Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington on Sunday. Saw full sets of Royston Club and DMA's who were great. Set clashes meant I saw bits of The Fratellis, Luvcat, Blossoms and Jamie Webster.

Spent a fortune on weak cans of Amstel but overall a good day. Stunning weather.

Just got tickets to Knocked Loose at Rock City next month. It’s the day after I get back from the US and I’m not sure how much I’ll appreciate getting screamed at for a few hours but here we are.
