You know in Leicester near McDonalds and all the other shops there is like a big clock. How come every week there is always some different protest going on there? What's the point it's not going to do anything protesting about Palestinians in Leicester is it? :|

Says it all when people in a once productive nation have spare time to protest at all.

Are there any Palestinians in Leicester at all?

I've met a massive three of them.

Unemployed protesters, eh?

This thread just gets more and more incredible by the second.

It wasn't about them being in Leicester

It was about, well it was

"Free, free Palestine

Stop the killing, stop the crime"

But if it was about something happening over in Palestine why protest in Leicester? :dunno:

So these Palestinians are big lads then, eh? Sounds a right rum do. Over here eating our food and drinking our beer no doubt - terrible.

Something should be done, someone should inform the Daily Mail.

There are citizens of Leicester working in Palestine, and vice versa. So events in Gaza are directly relevant.

And for reasons discussed on the Israel thread, the consequences of those events will be felt around the world.

Having said that, I thought the same about Kosovo. And so far...

Don't get me started on bloody protests. My students' union are world renowned for spending too much time on issues they have no chance of changing, and not enough time on reducing the price of beer in the bar.

Don't get me wrong, they've every right to protest against NATO, Israel, Republicans if they feel strongly about it. But it pisses me off when they do it under the banner of all the students in our university.

Because they live in Leicester and want to make their point.

Are you for real?
