stez Posted 7 January 2009 Posted 7 January 2009 after, seeing on, the (glorious) return of lieutenant-colonel richard francis "dick" strawbridge MBE, in 'it's not easy being green', the WWF footprint calculator, which calulates how many planets we would need if everybody lived like you, i did it and got: anyway, how many do you need?
samlcfc Posted 7 January 2009 Posted 7 January 2009 the key word in this is "we". I pretty sure I only need this planet
stez Posted 7 January 2009 Author Posted 7 January 2009 the key word in this is "we". I pretty sure I only need this planet charming, we'll leave you to it then, we're off to jupiter
Cobbo Posted 7 January 2009 Posted 7 January 2009 charming, we'll leave you to it then, we're off to jupiter's moons Now now, gas giants are beyond us at this moment in time.
stez Posted 7 January 2009 Author Posted 7 January 2009 Now now, gas giants are beyond us at this moment in time. i reckon there's several more planets orbiting the sun tonight, the amount of gas giants i've been emmitting this evening
DB11 Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Your footprint is 5.05 planets * food 12% * travel 34% * Home 29% * stuff 25% * Equating to an Ecological Footprint of 9.09 hectares We've also calculated your carbon footprint, which is 25.06 tonnes per annum
Rocket-Ron Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 4.47 Planets 55% on travel ahh well everybody needs to holiday.
hairy Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 You're living as if we had 3.69 planets to support us. You are above the UK average, and obviously we only have the one! It was the dog's wind that tipped the scales. But its ok because I already have 5 planets.
Lillehamring Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 3.46 - but i got screwed by my air travel - ouch! even though i don't drive and take the bus they recommended i walk to work - which is like 20km thought my recycling would be useful, and my lack of jewelery or power tool purchasing... nonsense, i challenge anyone to get less than 1 planet....

Even Dick, with all his 'green paraphernalia' got around 2.36 reading.
Daggers Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Even Dick, with all his 'green paraphernalia' got around 2.36 reading. So, in order to be the ultimate in sanctimonious green people, you need to be some kind of Super Dick?
