maddog Posted 31 January 2009 Posted 31 January 2009 We are going up Can we edge closer with another 3 points at Walsall. They gave us a game at the Walkers and just beat Leeds but thats not saying much really Another scrappy 2-1 win, as i predicted and others in the last Opometer
maddog Posted 31 January 2009 Author Posted 31 January 2009 Also Walsall have their new manager now Chris Hutchings, and the new manager effect is normally positive. Could be a much tougher match than i thought They are up to 12th in the table now.

If you honestly believe he contributes nothing to the team then you are severely deluded. We missed him on Tuesday big time and his presence today was instrumental once again. He may have (only) scored 10 goals, but how many assists can you add to that tally? Oh, and 2-0 to Leicester v Walsall btw....

JakeShingler Posted 31 January 2009 Posted 31 January 2009 Looking forward to thie i think we will edge it 2-0
StanSP Posted 31 January 2009 Posted 31 January 2009 This match will be another tough one. With Walsall coming off a 1-0 win against Leeds, their heads will be high in confidence. It will be interesting to see if Pearson will change it around a bit and spring a bit of a surprise - after all, most of the players have played Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday. I know they are professionals but the risk of jadedness/exhaustion can't be taken on key players.
carterfox90 Posted 31 January 2009 Posted 31 January 2009 i think they will surprise us & make a game of it & a draw is on the cards sorry to say hope i'm wrong as i'm going to it :scarf:
C-man Posted 31 January 2009 Posted 31 January 2009 O you just had to point that out I can score a penalty so can you Don't be a klondike all your life. Howard is instrumental, you just refuse to admit it.
Asha Posted 31 January 2009 Posted 31 January 2009 I went for a draw, probably 2-2. Although we had a good result...Walsall are a decent side in this division and held us at the Walkers.
Daggers Posted 31 January 2009 Posted 31 January 2009 Pitch will be as shit as today, snow/rain/sleet will be falling - but it's not at home and the moaning bastards will be staying at home. It's going to be ace
jaspal1000 Posted 31 January 2009 Posted 31 January 2009 Looking forward to this one- suprised it hasnt sold out ?? Roll call: jaspal100 + 25
MC Prussian Posted 31 January 2009 Posted 31 January 2009 Again, a week ago I would've gone for a draw and seeing that they beat Leeds today should actually confirm that prediction. However, we have high spirits, too. Should make for a cracking match with us nicking a win. BUT... I don't expect this to be another walk in the park. As already stated, they held us to a draw at the Walkers in autumn. Hmmm... It's either a 1-1 or a 2-1 to us on the scoreboard, depending on the starting line-ups.
Daggers Posted 31 January 2009 Posted 31 January 2009 Walsall 1-0 LeedsTroy Deeney got the game's only goal as Walsall stunned promotion-chasers Leeds with a deserved victory. The Saddlers had gone four games without a win, but they set about the visitors right from the start, and took the lead in just the seventh minute. Sofiene Zaaboub delivered a great cross into the goalmouth where Troy Deeney headed his third goal in as many games. Leeds' Jonathan Douglas and Luciano Becchio had decent efforts, but Walsall dug in to delight the home fans. No prizes for guessing Tactic A for Tuesday...

maddog Posted 31 January 2009 Author Posted 31 January 2009 Don't be a klondike all your life. Howard is instrumental, you just refuse to admit it. Maybe compared to a 36 year old whos had his day. Steve Howard is a shit footballer, with no skill, no control, no pace, never scores headers from great crosses (the whole point of Ollie signing him) and concedes a lot of fouls. You still haven't fooking said what positive things he does for the team, there aren't many. I have clear reasons for what i think, i dont just hate him for no reason. I will be very happy when Steve Howard leaves Leicester.
Guest Posted 31 January 2009 Posted 31 January 2009 I will be very happy when Steve Howard leaves Leicester. If Tuesday night didn't make it obvious what Howard brings to the team, you were either not at the game or seriously deluded.
maddog Posted 31 January 2009 Author Posted 31 January 2009 If Tuesday night didn't make it obvious what Howard brings to the team, you were either not at the game or seriously deluded. I just said he is instrumental compared to Dickov, clearly we missed him Tuesday. That doesn't make him a good footballer. The main reason we are top of the League is because of the awful opposition. I watch Steve Howard every home game, and we must be seeing a completely different player, i see him win some headers, very few result in us getting the ball, i see him jogging around a bit very slowy, i see him conceding a lot of free kicks, and winning a few. I also see that he is always out of position from good crosses, never attacks the ball properly, and normally heads it over the bar. What do you see
