SussexFox Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 I've seen Celtic fans waving the St. Andrew's cross I've never seen one and i watch a lot of scottish football Obviously your gonna have sympathies towards one of the teams depending on who you are - I'm Protestant pro British and pro the Union so of course im gonna prefer Rangers and I don't see anything wrong with that.
Fosse Boy Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 I've never seen one and i watch a lot of scottish footballObviously your gonna have sympathies towards one of the teams depending on who you are - I'm Protestant pro British and pro the Union so of course im gonna prefer Rangers and I don't see anything wrong with that. I don't base my sympathies on religion. I'm technically C of E, but prefer Celtic because of the O'Neill/Lennon connection. To suggest that everyone has a preference to either of the Auld Firm based on denomination implies that everyone basically supports one or the other for sectarian reasons (whether harmless or sinister), when it's not necessarily the case. Either way, the whole Rangers/Celtic thing is pretty irrelevant to the thread I think as I doubt anyone hates either solely because of the fact that they're a Leicester fan.
SussexFox Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 Either way, the whole Rangers/Celtic thing is pretty irrelevant to the thread I think as I doubt anyone hates either solely because of the fact that they're a Leicester fan. Well the thread was 'which team do you hate the most' it wasn't 'which team do you hate solely because your a Leicester fan' anyway agreed don't want to debate this anymore
Father Ted Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 For me it's Derby. I was brought up to hate the scum more than any other team.
Finnegan Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 anyway agreed don't want to debate this anymore I'm not surprised. There are few ways to get out of this without looking like a bit of an eejit. I'd agree with most of what the Essex boy said.

Samilktray Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 A quality Father Ted word Ive never seen you say it.
Finnegan Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 A quality Father Ted word Uhm... yes... because Father Ted is the only person to ever say eejit.
Corky Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 A quality Father Ted word I'm not familiar with you using it on here
Father Ted Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 I'm not familiar with you using it on here Ive never seen you say it. As in Father Ted on the programme
James. Posted 16 February 2009 Posted 16 February 2009 Never been that bothered about the teams close to Leicester. It's hard to hate a team that doesn't really care about you. Derby hate Forest first and foremost and vice versa. I'd like to hate Coventry but there's not really that much to hate. Anyway they have enough problems just living there. So I'd probably go for Spurs (for no good reason, I just do) and Leeds (for being supported by scum).
Dan Posted 16 February 2009 Author Posted 16 February 2009 Yeah I was comparing the type of fans. Can't be arsed to go into too much detail as someone will quickly challenge and I frankly don't gave the time but: forest was mostly full of the 16-35 bracket, not much colour and everyone stood. Cov was families, daytrippers and a max of 200 actually seemed intent on getting behind the team. Right I get you, Forest was incredible but Cov was just awful, all that pre match bragging of our brilliant away support and then we turn out with 5000 pensioners.
AyewJoking Posted 18 February 2009 Posted 18 February 2009 I've had a good think and its Newcastle. I cant hate them but they are kind of pathetic in the way they will never be as big or successful as they think they should be.
Finnegan Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 MkMongs by a country mile. Why's that then, Andy? I've really no idea.
