James. Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 Can't wait until tomorrow, in my flat Pancake Day is today. The men have been allocated the task of the pancakes, the women are in charge of fillings. I got an A* in GCSE Food Technology, the bulk of which was a project on pancakes. I'm a f**king qualified pancake maker. Ridiculous. Fillings: Bacon with maple syrup (the best) Banana with chocolate sauce Ice cream Lemon/lime and sugar Just syrup
Uncle Albert Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 It's D-Day for me on the deathlist tomorrow aswell. I'm a fan of just sugar on my pancake's.

fox123 Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 Savory pancakes are also nice... though I am likely to just opt for lemon and sugar.
Alexikokopops Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 Mmm... pancakes. Lemon and sugar please
Fosse Boy Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 My housemates all find it weird that I like jam on my pancakes. As a result they now assume that everyone from Leicestershire also puts jam on their pancakes too.
StanSP Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 It's D-Day for me on the deathlist tomorrow aswell. I'm a fan of just sugar on my pancake's. Same. And lots of it. I have a VERY sweet tooth.
Libertine Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 You crazy suckers. None of you know pancakes. Sugar, lemon and cinnamon. Idiotas.
Bert Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 Take it i'm the only one that likes nothing on their pancakes?
Tevez Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 Mmm... pancakes. Lemon and sugar please What this lad said.
Monk Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 I find it amazing that pancake batter is also Yorkshire pudding mix. One rises, one stays flat. They don't even TASTE alike, yet they use exactly the same ingredients. I would embrace a Shrove Yorkshire Pudding Day each year where people fill their puddings with elaborate meat & condiments.

They also use the same incredients as a turd full of pancake batter. It's what you do with it that counts!
James. Posted 23 February 2009 Author Posted 23 February 2009 Been giving this some thought and I reckon cheese could be worth a go.
Unit Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 Been giving this some thought and I reckon cheese could be worth a go. With some reggae reggae sauce?

Doesn't one use self raising flour the other plain? I may be wrong though.
Dr The Singh Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 Doesn't one use self raising flour the other plain? I may be wrong though. No necessarily, it's the fact that ones cooked in the oven (slower heat so rises) and the other is cooked in a pan!!!
welck12 Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 Been giving this some thought and I reckon cheese could be worth a go. Cheese seems to go with anything so i think you could be right...
