Edmund Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 You're joking right? You don't know what your missing out on. Bacon is top on pancakes. You should go to Holland the humble home of pancakes. 200 different toppings to choose from at the pannekoeken houses. Another one for people to try is peanut butter as a topping. Is well nice. Best done with skippy. For me its either Nutella on it's tod or Mapyle syrup, sugar, icing sugar, honey, tab of butter and vanilla ice cream. Also all about a hint of vanilla essence in the batter, works wonders. Pancake with bacon
lildave3 Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 Didn't have any last year. Usually I have sugar and chocolate sauce

Asha Posted 23 February 2009 Posted 23 February 2009 Lent. Yes. Shrove Tuesday is a term for the day preceeding the first day of the Christian holiday season of Lent. The word shrove is the past tense of the English verb shrive, which means to obtain absolution for one's sins by way of Confession and doing penance. Thus Shrove Tuesday gets its name from the shriving that English Christians were expected to do prior to receiving absolution immediately before Lent begins
